Kunming is the capital and largest city of Yunnan province in southwest China. This is a highly recommended tour from south central China. It covers the amazing red soil slopes to the north of Kunming. It is an easy 3-hour drive to the area. Expect to see the red soils of the area with the what the farmers provide with crops. Green in the early season, reds and browns as they grow and are harvested. Peak is early spring and late summer, but high summer can be good too. Guides and driver are part of the package. Guide really knew the area. Expect sunset and sunrise locations - and hope for the right conditions from nature. A great way to spend two days.

i watched Shaolin in my childhood. The gate , main gate is the must to visit side. Then is the kungfu show. following with the 'DOJO' the foot steps floor is amazing.

Don't bother with pre-booking tickets. I was there in October 2019. I presented my passport at the ticket booth and was provided an entry ticket free of charge, along with a free sub-ticket for another section of the complex. And there was no line-up either. The same thing at the Summer Palace. Completely free as a foreigner. Only locals have to pay to get in. At the Forbidden City, the entry was not free but reduced from the regular ticket prices.

This was our second time to Yunnan province and our first time to Dali and this tour made us fall in love with Dali! We were staying in kunming for a 3 day weekend and decided to go to Dali for the day, this tour gives you all it promises and more. It was very easy to book and communicate with the company via WeChat. Even though it was a holiday and we only gave them a few hours notice (not to mention the middle of a pandemic) they arranged everything quickly and hassle free. Everything from that day (from leaving our hotel room in the morning to returning to our hotel at night) was extremely simple thanks to the tour company. Our tour guide, Linda, was the best tour guide we have ever had! She helped us with everything and showed us the real Dali, her English is extremely good so make sure you ask for Linda if you go! Even though we already did this trip, we would definitely do it again without hesitation! Also the lunch is absolutely out of this world, make sure you choose the traditional Dali Chinese food option it is so good and let's you taste real traditional local food.
