Can be accessed from the main road or from the beach. It is nice to be able relax amongst the ancient ruins with great views towards Agios Nikolaos.

Thursday 1st October and we visted the small picturesque mountain town of Zia where the delightful Church is located. Over one of the entrances there is a mosaic that depicts a number of birds including 2 peacocks. Towards the back of the Church there is a wooden screen, reredos, which is covered in religious images. Colourful paintings and icons adorn the walls. Three chandeliers were hang from the ceiling. Above the entrance of the Church there is a small wooden balcony. Nearby in Church's courtyard is the bell tower with it's 2 bells. A beautiful small Church in a wonderful setting.

I visited the church in June, but not possibility to enter, it's closed, and still not renoved after the earthquake; the church has many cracks, and the windows are broken; around the church is a special cimetary to visit; in the park around, under a tent, marquee, the mess will be held. quit and nice place to visit.
