Fantastic trip as always. Bad weather but ship very stable. Food was fantastic in the Brasserie as were the staff. Drinks were reasonable prices. Many thanks to all the staff.

Very comfortable crossing - the North Sea was like a mill pond. We upgraded our cabin to club class and found it to be very, very comfortable. We had dinner in The Brasserie restaurant and thought the food and service were very good. Entry in to Rotterdam was fascinating to watch from the sun deck and both boarding and disembarking (with car) went well. Great way to travel!

I have travelled several times on the P&O ferries from Hull to Rotterdam & Zeebrugge ports on the 241 mini cruises between October and March. The port at Hull is easy to find and foot passengers are able to park for the 2 or 3 nights. Parking for 3 nights is around £24 and you can pay by card. The ferry is a great way to experience Europe and great value (although I have only ever travelled during the 241 period). Ferry travels to Rotterdam with bus tickets to Amsterdam (around 1.5 hours on the bus) and to Bruges via Zeebrugge (around 30 minutes on the bus) which can be as cheap as £40 with return bus transfers included. Rooms are very basic and quite dated, room included is usually standard inside cabin with bunk beds which are small but only for 2 nights. You can upgrade the cabins at additional cost. You can usually travel on the mini cruise for 2 or 3 nights. If you travel for 3 nights you will need to pay for accommodation for the one night at your chosen destination. The ferry features two restaurants (one with an a la carte menu and one buffet style restaurant). I have always added the breakfast and dinner combination when booking as it’s cheaper to pre-book online and usually works out around £10 per meal per person. It’s more expensive to buy on the ship and if you only purchase one meal (not the breakfast and dinner deal). Dinner usually consists of meat, curries, salad, roast dinner, selections of deserts and cheeses and hot drinks machines. All alcohol drinks are additional to meal price. Breakfast is mainly full English or continental and fruit. Ship has great entertainment facilities and features bars, gambling machines, cinema and three duty free shops. There are also some themed cruises. Cinema has several showings and usually plays recent films (approx £5 per person). Staff are friendly - great experience and would certainly recommend.

Travelled to London Kings X from Selby and back. Fantastically quick service. Just over 2hrs there. 1hr 45mins return trip. How do they manage that. Over 200 miles. On board snack bar as well. Always impresses me. Well done Hull Trains. Ticket inspector had a sense of humour as well..
