We were so well taken care of by Fausto and Rikkaa. This is a family owned vineyard that makes some incredible wines. We had a great stay here for 2 nights and wished we had booked longer. Fausto helped us with everything from making reservations to recommending masseuses and restaurants. Rikkaa is very well versed sommelier who gave us great winery recommendations as well. However, with all the wines we tried in the region, we liked Guardastelle's wine the best and already bought 6 bottles shipped home!

My husband and I visited Il Cocco in 2016, as part of a 10 day trip to Italy. We had an amazing experience, and loved their wines. We recently ordered a case of their wine, as we had finished the last of the case we ordered while we were visiting, and want to support this amazing family business during a time of need. The ordering process for shipping a case was extremely easy over email and used Paypal to pay, and Giacomo was very helpful in getting everything sorted out. We can't wait until our case of wine arrives!

We toured the vineyard in the evening, followed by an incredible dinner. My group of 4, including an 18 year old, was joined by a group of 6 and we mixed really well. That was due in large part to Alphonso, our tour guide/leader for the evening. We had a very interesting tour of the facility and the wine making process, then a lovely early evening stroll through the vineyard. We arrived at the house on the hill for dinner and were blown away at the view...incredible. Dinner was copious and delicious, served with a selection of the wines produced on site. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and billed the evening as a highlight of our trip.

We just arrived from our two week vacation and this was one of the highlights of our trip. We were looking forward to it and we were not disappointed. We happened to be the only people on this tour so we had Serena’s undivided attention! She is so down to earth, very informative and made us appreciate Bolgheri and the region’s wines even more. The grounds were immaculate and she was generous with the tastings (I lost count) that was paired with bread and their amazing olive oil. We prefer red over white but both were so good we bought several bottles of both. I researched a while before deciding on Terre del Marchesato and we can’t wait to go back! Thank you Serena! Very friendly and knowledgeable, Pietro took time (about 20 minutes) to explain his Prosecco when we showed up unannounced. Excellent Prosecco in the middle of the Cartizze region that competes very strongly with the multitude of other producers in the region. I've been visiting the area for over 30 years so I already have my favorites among the many I have tasted over the years. Pietro certainly knows what he is doing and I plan on many return visits. Driving up a long dirt road nestled between the grape vines sets a unique atmosphere that made for a better experience.

Marco, my host, was wonderful, patient and professional and did his utmost to make me feel at home as well as protected and safe. Wines are extraordinary and the story behind the winery and winemaker is awesome.
