Hi travellers! Want a challanging volcano climb? Or a more quiet hike with volcano views? Than hike Soputan with Dufry! Be careful: many agencies and guides claim to climb Soputan and than only go to Aiseput viewpoint for too much money....Not Djufry! We went from Tomohon to Pinabetengan with the motor bike in 50 minutes and climbed Aiseput in 3 hours (1400m). From there you have a beautiful view of Soputan, a stratovolcano which can be quite active. Djufry explained a lot of different plants, birds and facts about the volcano. He is very experienced guide, speaks excellent English and is a very talkative and likable guy. With good shoes, gloves and maybe helmet (Soputan is sometimes throwing stones out of its crater) you can climb up to the big and beautiful crater in 2 hours (1800m). But it is only for skilled hikers because of the steep and slippery slopes. Djufry showed me the way up which is very hard to find and brought a helmet for me (falling stones). With his help I could really appreciate the beauty of Soputan. After the climb he brought me to a beautiful hot spring lake. So relaxing! I can highly recommend Djufry for Aiseput viewpoint and Soputan crater! +628124475845

I climbed this empung volcano in newnormal was definely posible . But follow the protocols of healts, use masker,BRING hands sanitazer . I climbed this summit point of empung volcano and after went down to the active lokon tompaluan crater.oxcourse you to use gloves to protect me from sharp grass But every ok. This trip was amazing when we climbed Mount Rinjani 2 days 1 night Senaru crater rim. I just finished climbing Singgalang Mountain. Singgalang is a mountain in front of gunung marapi. Singgalang is a very natural mountain with great views along the way. especially in the moss forest and telaga dewi a very beautiful lake at the top of the mountain. this time we were accompanied with a very professional guide. the name is Fajar of ambasador trekking. Fajar and his team are very good people with very nice personalities. for the food menu prepared for us vegetarians is very tasty and prepared according to our request. what we will never forget is the kawa daun coffee serve by fajar. We will come back to try hiking at marapi mountain of course with mr Fajar. Going to Krakatau is my plan from last year, traveling there is only 1.30 hours by fast boat, I departed with a local tour operator in Carita with good service from leaving in Jakarta to Krakatau, Mount Krakatau is very beautiful where I can see the latusan from the crater and ride to krakatau children, beautiful scenery with the island in krakatau, good guides and also the boat crew until I feel served, good lunch on Rakata island where I also senorkeling to see the underwater with lots of fish ... come back to Jakarta hotel with a friendly driver ... We took the 90 minute mini Jeep Tour to Merapi - a little apprehensive about the rainclouds that obscured the sky through most of the day. The brightly coloured old red Jeep with a young man at the wheel bumped across the route - which was mostly paved , slowed by oncoming truck traffic carrying volcanic ash away for construction. We stopped at a village which had been damaged by the lava in the 2010 eruption - preserved complete with skeletons of cattle, burnt motorcycles and home appliances, a volcanic rock that was shaped like a face and appropriately called The Alien, and finally at the last lookout point 4.5 kms from the imposing volcano. The rain clouds cleared after a drizzle and the volcano was clearly visible - smoking ominously. An eerie and imposing sight on a dull drizzly day. The route is dusty so make sure you use the dust cover or take care especially if you are asthmatic or allergic. A very enjoyable drive with a fascinating view. Well worth the price of ₹1750 (Rp 350000) for 2.
