In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful garden in Japan. Though it is not something historical like many gardens in Kyoto, it is certainly a good example of Japanese garden which is inspired by Western gardening. Many people go to Hofu just for Tenmangu, but if you go to Hofu, you should absolutely visit this garden.
