Ypao Beach Park

Everything except food and sunscreen is available at this beautiful beach: grassy spots for games, a sandy stretch, great swimming, a playground and restrooms.

Not much crowded than expected. Scenic place in Guam. This beach us very close to Hilton spa and resort. You can go there in 10mins from the hotel. Even this beach is not the best clean one, though snorkelers surely enjoy here. There is picnic area which you can try BBQ party next to.the Ypao beach. 멋진곳입니다. 예쁜 해변과 함께 바로 옆에 바베큐 파티와 피크닉을 즐길수 있는 장소가 있어 가족여행객에게 유용한 장소입니다.

This popular diving site contains coral reefs in caverns that were once thought to be bomb craters from World War II, but were actually the result of natural causes.

This gorgeous, white sand beach offers great swimming, but watch out for the strong current.

Thank you to Maribel from the refuge info center for encouraging us to take the cave tour. She taught us a ton about the history of this land including way of life and current integration of life to the grounds/island. Beautiful beach and plenty of trails to explore in non-guided tours. Weather can be a factor as you are at the tip of the pacific so plan accordingly. Otherwise visit the center and enjoy the information available there.

There is a designated parking area in front of the entrance. You will hike with no guide and you will just rely on signages around the trail. The best time to go is early morning so that its not very hot, and you will have a parking spot. But when you reach the peak it is worth the hike. May 2019

We had the opportunity to visit the beach during both high tide and low tide. During high tide, the beach is great. But low tide, not as nice. The beach has powdery white sand. The beach itself is free for the public but there are no free parking lots nearby.

Best place ever. Beautiful. Great swimming, world class diving, snorkeling, or just relaxing on the beach. One of my favorite spots. It is hard to believe it is on a U.S. Navy Base.

If you’ve got limited time, then this is a must -do!! Not a far hike but can feel like it because it can be hot and humid, and ends walking up hill! Downhill hike at start easy, to cave opening. Bring a waterproof flashlight and camera as you do a short dark walk through semi tight opening to an underground pond with clean cool fresh water. Refreshing after that warm hike. Then hike up other side from cave opening to short paths to the rocky shore, which is beautiful! Heard some will cliff jump here but we did not. BTW no easy place to climb out after you jump...I’d reserve this only for the most adventurous who are STRONG swimmers. Wear good hiking shoes to cave, and to shore, but bring to wear water shoes for in cave and pond.
