A spectacular gorge surrounded by craggy cliffs and trees.

6 months back a small team from Rethymno we walked throw the gorge inside the river. The landscape is amazing and the palm trees as you approach the beach make the place tropical.

I went to Pilion in March 2020. We hiked a group of 205 people from Xania to Makryrachi and Portaria village. We also visited the villag eof Makrinitsa. Amazing place with great architecture. The nature around the mountain is simply amazing. Highly recommended for hikers!

Tripitos Arch

Reviewed By Rob007Kent_UK - Wye, United Kingdom

A short 10-15 mins walk from Ozias along narrow rocky paths and you will be rewarded with an amazing scenic view of the turquoise sea and Tripitos. Either on the rock platform above or on the top of the actual arch this is the perfect place either at sunrise or for sunset drinks. I highly recommend a trip here.

We visited this remote beach following the suggestion of a local friend and we were surprised by the beauty that can be generated from natural events. It must be the antic volcanic eruption that created some natural sculptures of a unique beauty that must be seen. The place is remote located nearby a wild beach but will definitely surprise you with its beauty. We visited this place early morning and the early sun light was adding to the natural colors and the quite impressive atmosphere. You have to visit this place when in Lemnos.

Agia Irini Gorge

The four-hour walk through the gorge takes you through beautiful, uncrowded scenery.

We hiked from the top to the bottom. My wife and I did it with our 2 and 5 year olds. The 5 year old loved it. The 2 year old had to be carried most of the way. It took 3.5 hours with a picnic stop. All rockfall has been dealt with and the way is clearly marked. The bar at the bottom called a taxi. Wait time was only 10 minutes and cost a was 35 euros for a 7 seater.

6. 9. 2020 Breathtaking, adventurous hike through the canyon, the bottom of a dry river. 3 km of active movement through rugged terrain, where you climb some sections of rocks using ropes and ladders. Great. We, the amateurs, did it too. There is no other way back than to repeat the whole route back. I recommend to all more active people. Not suitable for small children.
