We just happened across this underground market while walking back to our hotel along the waterfront. Unfortunately we didn't have a huge amount of time available to linger too long, however, we did have enough time for a quick visit and a wee bit of shopping - crystal for me, jar of honey for dad. What a nice surprise to come across!

We actually came during the Festival of Lights so the stalls were in a different place but many of the vendors said they are normally at the night market. Loads of different cultures of food available, tasty and affordable, a fun way to spend the evening!!
The Kapiti Indoor Market is a non-profit market showcasing the very best products from a large range of local businesses, artisans, crafters & food trucks. With a huge variety of quality stalls the market offers an enjoyable indoor shopping experience. Held twice a year (June & December), entry is by gold coin donation in support of local charities.
