Vukov Konak is a traditional mountain house only 18 km from downtown Sarajevo. We invite you to experience the real Bosnian mountain life with us and our herd of donkeys, goats, cats and dogs. We have a small restaurant and guestrooms for up to 10-12 people. The house is a beautiful, over a 100 years old loghouse, situated at 1300 meters above sea level. It's surrounded by deep pine and spruce forests, peaceful medows and animal pasture lands.

I have been here many times in the past. Best time to visit is in the summer, when you can swim in the lakes that are known to have healing effects. It is largest attraction in Tuzla. Sometimes really crowded. Besides salty lakes, there are all facilities incl. bars and restaurants. Restaurant Lovac (Hunter) is particulary worth visiting. Prices are fair. A must see is museum on open, showing cottages and life throughout the history. It is place to be, if visiting Tuzla.

This is one of those iconic photographs that most visitors will be familiar with and that when you see it for yourself really is as gorgeous as those pictures look. The spring is a few minutes walk down a gently sloping and easy path that leads through the small village. The water flows gently as it tumbles over the rocks past the bridge and restaurants that line the banks with that iconic house perched among the rocks - most visitors come here as part of a guided tour and I guess unless you have a car this is the best way to see the area.
