The Korean Memorial was my favorite, but Tom did a great job with all of the monuments. Our friends had been on Tom's tour before but he added a different monument for them to see. His knowledge of everything concerning the monuments and the city made the tour special for all of us - two VA residents, one frequent visitor to DC and a newbie who had never visited DC before. We had such a great time we booked an additional tour with DC Military Tours & Tom.

Besides touring the grounds and the mansion we booked a National Treasure Tour, which takes you into the basement of the mansion and several outdoor spots, including the wharf, related to the movie. Our guide was Greg Reed who was VERY knowledgeable, and gave us so much more information than I’m sure he planned on. He was able to answer in depth, every single question our group had, plus lots of extra tidbits. Highly recommend you do not miss this portion of the tour.

That was quote a history lesson. Bobby was a driver, a guide, an entertainer, a historian, and just a personable character. I selected this particular company based on reviews - there were a couple that provided a 'driver' who did not comprise all the above attributes, mainly a knowlegeable guide. I especially liked all the little lesser known details and facts shared with us. Did you know all the people you see on $ bills? I was like... "Franklin $100 was not a president?!" ???? I thought it was a good idea to see all that again by night, and listen, AFTER doing my own sightseeing and museum visits. It filled the gaps and added spice to my knowledge.
