Cinzia is a fabulous guide. She’s extremely knowledgeable about the many aspects of the amazing mosaics of Ravenna and Classe, as well as about the history surrounding them. She explained everything very clearly and was able to answer my numerous questions. All of this, combined with her generosity, warmth, and passion for her work, made my day with her unforgettable. The mosaics are so rich with detail and symbolism that having a strong guide is a must in order to fully appreciate what one is seeing. Cinzia was able to bring to life these stunningly beautiful, unique, and historically significant masterpieces. Cinzia is also quite knowledgeable about other artifacts of the period. For example, she was able to translate the inscription on the sarcophagus of a young child, a poignant expression of the parents’ deep sorrow. Visiting the wonderful sites of Ravenna and Classe was a true privilege for me, and all the more so with Cinzia as my guide. The experience will stay with me for years to come.

On the morning of our Food Tastings Tour with Francesca it was raining heavily. Happily, the tour started in the market where the local vendors had thoughtfully set up tent-shelters, and the rain did nothing to dampen our experience. Francesca didn't let a little rain ruin the fun! My husband and I are not foodies, and Francesca was happy to help us enjoy the delights of Italian foods despite being novices. We happily enjoyed several Italian 'comfort foods' which were extra tasty in the chill of a rainy day! Thanks, Francesca.

Bologna is, and has always been, a cultural and social avant- garde city, thus it’s not surprising that the most famous “Street Art” artists have impressed their maverick art on its walls, perfectly embedded within Bologna’s urban context. This Bike tour follows this long artistic streak: you’ll ride from the western suburbs of the city towards its eastern side, and end up in the town centre, grasping along the way the metamorphosis of the writer’s language through the deep contrast between the richness of the classic arts and the new and impressive Street Art. Your professional tour guide will lead you through bike lanes in a journey of discovery of the Post-Industrial Bologna: a fantastic immersion in places and contexts completely off the typical tourist tracks

Inclusions: Bike rental, Helmet, Tour guide, Radio guide, Raincoat (if needed), Child seat (if requested)

Exclusions: Transportation to/from attractions

Take part in our guided tours that will take you on a pleasant walk along the main streets of the historic center of Ravenna to discover the most evocative and significant corners, famous people, anecdotes, food and wine and street art. A guided tour that starts from the Tomb of Dante Alighieri, and then deepens the rich heritage of the city, of which the 8 Unesco monuments are only the flagship. Ravenna with its basilicas, baptisteries and mausoleums tells us about a glorious past as a protagonist, in which it was capital 3 times. Entering the historic center, small buildings adorned with portals, mullioned windows, balconies and arcades, testify to the building renovation carried out during the Venetian domination. Not to mention the fact that for centuries, Ravenna welcomed illustrious people who were profitable poets and ingenious revolutionaries in these lands. So much so that even today Ravenna continues to be a source of such great inspiration.

We had a great tour provided by our guide, Pasquale. He was entertaining and knowledgeable, which is a huge plus since the Vatican Museum can be a bit overwhelming if you tour it on your own. He made sure to stop and highlight the important parts and answer any questions the group had. Thanks again Pasquale for the great trip to this impressive site!
