Imbabura or known as the Lakes Province is absolutely one of the favorite tours on visitor’s trips while in Ecuador. The main attraction is Otavalo Market. It is a massive Saturday crafts market (But there is a market every day too) – one of the biggest of South America! Tons of traditionally-attired Quechua locals take over the streets of the whole town center, selling beautiful artwork, handicrafts, livestock, and clothing, anything you can imagine! You will also LOVE the food at Cotacachi also known as the Leather Town, and all the great but cheap restaurants around town. The waterfall that after a short walk ,you will be impressed by its beauty .Finally amazing views of the Andes right above the volcanic crater. We invite you to join us to this very colorful tour with a local taste

Inclusions: 1 bottle per person, Private transportation, All sightseeing mentioned above, English -Spanish speaking Certified Guide, Park admission fee

Exclusions: However we always stop at Cotacachi town , where you can have something to eat too, Gratuities, Anything not specified in program

We had a great time exploring Galapagos through Ecosportour. We visited 3 islands and saw amazing wildlife. It was truly a breathtaking adventure seeing a volcano, rare birds, sea turtles and vegetation. We hiked, snorkeled, fished and met the friendly people of Galapagos. The food and hospitality on the tour was very good. I would highly recommend booking through Ecosportour. They will make sure you have a once in a lifetime experience.

I contacted David in January 2020 with the intention of taking his tour in February 2020. I was full of questions for David and several emails and several dozen questions later, David patiently responded to every inquiry I had, sometimes twice, and got back to me quickly and efficiently. However, some things didn't seem right. First was that there were two prices listed on the website. According to David there was a promotion that was happening, though there was no indication of that on the website. Then David said that I had to pay a $200 premium as a single traveler. He also told me it required 3-5 days advance notice to book the trip, but when I said I would likely be booking, David asked me for payment to be wired in full within 48 hours, over two full weeks before the trip, and said there would be no chance to cancel as it was too close to the trip date. I told David that I was interested in the tour but was not comfortable paying up front in full before the commencement of the trip. I offered to pay a deposit to hold my spot and the reservation. From that point forward, I heard from David only twice more. One email said he would get back to me, and the other, two weeks later, saying "We have been having some complications to deliver this tour and it won't be possible for us to do it for operational reasons. I apologize for the inconvenience." This seemed shady given the timing of – “I want full payment wired to me” and then when I said I wasn’t comfortable with that, he suddenly couldn’t carry out the trip. So, I wanted to give other travelers a heads up to this. I recommend getting a personal driver. The smaller hotels will have drivers at more reasonable costs, whereas the big chain hotels will also have drivers but will gouge you in price. You can plan everything yourself and pay the drivers to take you most places without much hassle.

We selected “Tours Around Quito” by reading some reviews and took a chance. We are big travelers and have used many guides but “The Goose” (Gustavo) has been one of the best. He speaks great english, is friendly, punctual, and most of all incredibly knowledgeable. We had 3 days of private tours and he was so accommodating. He tailored the trip around our interests and made the most out of every minute we spent with him. We saw all of Quito, then went to Cotopaxi and he climbed along with us. We could go at our own pace and not feel pushed or held up by others. He even hiked with us in the pouring rain at a lake. We finished up touring Otavalo and loved it all. “The Goose” is a 5 star tour guide and we wholeheartedly recommend him.
