Brilliant experience that I was given as a gift... Mick, our expert in the FV 432, was clear and knowledgeable and funny! Plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn, driving the actual tank round a very muddy track, and firing the huge paintball gun to top it off!!

Ape Index

Ape Index is an indoor bouldering, ninja warrior and obstacle race gym. We have a large bouldering wall and many ninja warrior and obstacle race obstacles and climbing training aids. We offer a training environment for children, beginners and supermen. There is something to pull every muscle in every direction and under every duress imaginable. You can learn to balance, swing, jump. You will get stronger, more supple, more agile and more aware. You can build strength, and not just specific single plane pushing or pulling strength, but overall strength from your toes to your head, pushing, pulling and gripping. You can develop power, not lifting power, but explosive pulling and jumping power. Then you can work your strength endurance on the pegboard or power endurance on the salmon ladder, or overall endurance by running through the obstacle courses.

We have just had our sons 8th birthday party at Ape Index. Where he also had his 7th birthday! Both times the experience has been brilliant from start to finish. Both Alex and Nigel are friendly and laid back which makes the whole experience really rather pleasant! The party offers great value for money compared to many more obvious venue choices. Nigel was endlessly patient with the 18 excitable 7/8 year olds and managed to control them without ever being cross. The kids all really enjoyed it. You get as much free time to play afterwards as you want, which is fantastic. Overall a brilliant birthday party at a great venue.

We have visited several times recently for long walks and with a big family group from 1yr to 67yrs. It's a great place for children including a good indoor play area and lots to do outside. Each time we've had lunch in the cafe/restaurant which has lovely views and excellent home cooked food which is great value. Children's meals are very reasonable with a good choice of proper food. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Popped in for a day visit so can't comment on the camp site but the park itself is lovely and well kept. Plenty out of outdoor sport areas ie: tennis, croquet, cricket etc. There's a lovely little peaceful seating area with a nice wind-chime and a water feature. The children's playground is very well equipped with plenty for both younger and older children. There are also toilets, an outdoor cafe/ice-cream parlour and a lido.

Rushcliffe Country Park

Set in the beautiful countryside about half a mile south of Ruddington, Rushcliffe Country Park is an ideal place to get away from it all. With a network of over 8 kilometres of footpaths, grassland, conservation and landscaped areas, the park is excellent for walking, jogging, cycling, spotting wildlife and exercising your dog. Bring your family and a picnic and encourage your children to let off steam in the extensive play area, which has around 20 pieces of modern equipment for children up to the age of 12. The play area includes a swing suitable for less able children (safety equipment is available on request) and part of the equipment is accessible to wheelchair users. For older children there's a skateboard midi half pipe, and a 4X/ BMX cycle track situated nearby. Access to the park is free. The County Park has a visitor’s car park and for just £1, you can park for your whole visit (up to a full day).

Park your car - only £1 for the whole day, and have a wonderful walk around lakes, woodlands and fields witn loads of extra activities. Wildlife includes swans, ducks, grebes, coots, cormorants, doves, robins and plenty more. There's a visitor centre, toilets, play equipment, sensory activities and we found a mobile cafe and an ice cream van. Very good morning out and really can't fault the park. Lovely1
