Riverside Golf Club

Short par 3 golf course, 85-135 yards. Ideal for first time and keen golfers, good short game practace. Great family fun, beautifull course, village and setting. No clubhouse, honesty box at 1st tee, with picnic table. Club hire available (phone ahead) or at Kings Head close by. Well kept testing little course, offers great value.

Played here today, after a gap of some years. Excellent course. Some challenges but plenty of well cut fairways which reduces the lost ball count. Immensely scenic and interesting, good greens and excellent fun. Wonderfully positioned, so you can retire to the Kings Head, or Black Swan for a great pub meal afterwards If you like Par 3s this is an excellent example (also try the Rosedale, Yorks, version of the same) Heartily recommended

I turned up at Carus Green not knowing what to expect and was treated so well I went back for a second go the day after. The driving range, golf shop, course and the clubhouse are very well maintained to a high standard. I will be back again another time, maybe try out one of the Lodges they have on site as a stay and play.

Absolutely awesome golf course. Played in their July Pairs Open. Spectacular views, and if you drop on with the weather you’re in for a treat, regardless of how your round goes. Make sure your Powerkaddy is fully charged though, we went up and down that many hills it was like a Sherpa training camp. I’ll be getting a buggy next time, though I think these need booking in advance as there we none left when we arrived. The food in the clubhouse was bang on, great breakfast and awesome evening meal, with nice views overlooking the course. We will be back again at next years open.

Didn't play golf but went for a leisurely Sunday lunch with family. Great new menu to go with lovely refurbishment. Food was excellent and staff were really friendly. Not too shabby on the prices either. All round great local venue for a meal.

Silloth Golf Club

Reviewed By peterbW3881BY - High Wycombe, United Kingdom

a compact challenging beautifully kept real links course with undulating fairways often narrow and hidden greens.which were smooth and quick.More variety than on traditional fairly flat links courses such as Southerness across the Solway Firth. The clubhouse and bar were open for food in or sandwiches to go which suited our plan to play 36 holes in the day with a buggy. The cost very very reasonable will certainly go again.
