Costa de Caparica (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈkɔʃtɐ ðɐ kɐpɐˈɾikɐ]) is a Portuguese civil parish, located in the municipality of Almada along the western coast of the district of Setúbal. The population in 2011 was 13,418, in an area of 10.18 km². Since December 2004, the Costa de Caparica has been designated as city within the urban hierarchy of Portugal.

Jose was a really great tour guide- from beginning to end. He customised our itinerary to ensure we visited all the places important to us, and still added in a few quick stops along the way which were surprisingly beautiful and well worth detours (especially the most western point in Europe). I never write reviews, as I personally feel that something exceptional is needed to make me wanna do it. Get Stoked certainly convinced me after taking me on the most amazing snorkeling adventure in Arrábida with the most friendly guide named Nuno which I had a great time with. We got see 3 octopuses, tons of different fish species in the most magnificent scenery and surroundings. Thank you for this time Filipe and Nuno, hope to see you guys again someday in the future. Me and a group of my friends booked a week of surfing lessons by the Way2Surf gents in June 2018. It was an absolutely amazing experience - besides the 2x day surf lessons, we were driven around the most picturesque spots of the Setúbal Peninsula, we were shown the nicest places to eat local food, and were treated like family in general. After our experience was over, every single one of us had nothing but the most positive memories of our time in Costa da Caparica. Driven by those memories and a newly found love for surfing, I came back to Portugal alone in June of 2020. Naturally, I headed straight to Way2Surf shack on the Praia de Sereia. For a whole week, the Way2Surf crew were nothing but most accommodating to me and once again I had a fantastic time. Surfing is a drug that you unfortunately cannot get in Netherlands, so I found myself back in Portugal again in October of 2020. This time I decided to explore beaches I have not been in before, so I set my sights on to the South of Portugal. However, with the basic skills of surfing handed down to me by Joao and Mario, I was confident enough to go into the ocean without the supervision of any instructor. I had a fantastic time and cannot wait to feel the sand under my feet again.

It is the best way to progress in Kitesurf, in safety and with a specialized trainer, in several levels of kitesurf, without having to share the kite. It is faster and safer to learn, advised to progress quickly and acquire your own equipment.

I did a week long kitesurfing course. The experience went beyond the expectation. The kitesurfing was given by very experienced teacher which combine fun with safety. As this was off season stay we had lessons at beautiful Lagoa de Albuferia. Highly recommend place!

100% recommend. We rented board from Miguel's shop and they were great - both shortboards and soft-boards for beginners. He took us to a better spot than the crowded main beach and it really paid off - perfect waves and no/little crowd !

Dr Bernard Surf School is great for all ages. The kids did an all day, all week including lunch before which was great, but this time we parents joined in for lessons with the teenager. Wow! Such a great experience that we ended up going back for two weeks almost every day. The instructors are the nicest, most talented you will find. They can get everyone up standing and surfing and provide more advanced tips as you go. They can keep everyone safe and happy, even in red flag conditions. Everyone from the boss to the reception are very kind and helpful. Portuguese, Spanish, French and English are all spoken -- and maybe more! The restaurant is a nice place to drink and eat too. Don't like the waves one day? You can also rent skateboards, which are great all along the beach.
