1020 meters above the sea, at the gate of Trillemarka, the Madonna and the child look out over beautiful mountain areas with the Gaustatoppen in the west and Norefjell / Eggedalsfjellet in the north. Trillemarka is Norway's largest forest reserve. In the summer of 2016, Sherpas from Nepal began work on and paved the trail and in 2019 the trail was completed. It was the 10th anniversary of the statue and the official opening of the trail on Saturday June 22, 2019. The trip is a total of 6 km, 3 km up and 3 km down. There are 2 alternative routes, which you can either go as a round trip or the same way up / down. Both options take you back to the parking lot and are well marked. Parts of one route are handicapped accessible and at the end of the trail at Svarttjern there is a gaping hole where you can light a fire and grill. This is a tour that suits most people.

The Otto figures are 14 iron scrap objects which are placed in Nesbyen. The figures are of people or animals that have lived or are observed in Nesbyen, all in identical or excessive size. A figure tour by maps and descriptions, leads you through town centre in Nesbyen and Old Nes. The tour tells you about the history of Old Nes, the buildings and the people who lived here between 1800 and 1900.
