Huge selection of beers to take away an drink on the premises. Also a great choice of beers on tap both national and international and the menu constantly changes. The beers are served in one third, half pint , two thirds and pint glasses. Also great selection of gin and cider. Top notch service and great beer knowledge from the enthusiastic owners. Such a pleasure to have in the town which reflects the great brewing heritage of the town.

Having just moved to the area I was looking for a new local that had a great atmosphere and excellent service. I found it. The Barley Mow is not just a pub. It’s a cultural experience. A throw back to the glory years of British drinking. A monument to excellence. In particular the barman Josh is a credit to the establishment. Charismatic, intelligent, witty and yet sensitive. Should I win the lottery I would employ him as my personal assistant. To conclude: if you are tired of the banality of chain pubs, the plethora of motorway cafe soggy food, the endless noise of small minded fools, then THIS is the place for you. The Barley Mow... I salute you.

Great friendly pub with excellent hosts and a lovely dog, the real ale is very well kept and the Bass is the best in the land. Give it a try. ????

The Leopard is located on Monk Street, in the historic village of Tutbury, close to both the famous castle and various shops on the High Street. The Leopard offers a wide variety of beers, lagers, wines & spirits. We cater for parties (whatever the occasion) & meetings. Serving the local community (& visitors) The Leopard offers a very wide choice of entertainment & events - many of which are unique, all of them fun and we try to offer something for everyone. The Leopard began life as four cottages, after an ale house was established in the first of these cottages c1870, the other cottages became part of the pub as they became available. Whilst several breweries have owned the premises in the past, the pub is now owned Admiral and run by Dawn Edwards.

We found this pub 200 yards from the train station by chance. When we walked in we were greeted at the bar by two very friendly helpful ladies who explained what ales they had on that evening. I chose Old Peculiar which was perfect and well kept. The pub is very traditional and welcoming with good prices and you can watch the footy on a choice of many screens...…..well worth a visit

Just popped in for a pint with the wife and daughter and made to feel most welcome and educated on some of the vast array of local ales, very knowledge landlord and great pub , will call in again soon. Cheers
