Hungarian wines really are worth the trip. The tour hit 3 local producers who were very committed to their craft. Tour guide did a fine job. Very little wine gets exported so it’s wine bars in Budapest and tours that get you the experience.

Budapest is magnificent when the sun disappears and its grandiose monuments are beautifully lit up.Some of the highlights include the Hungarian Parliament Building, Gellért Hotel, Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion and Matthias Church. The daytime and evening experiences are very different; personally, I prefer the evening cruises as they’re absolutely magical! Many of Budapest’s most iconic monuments are beautifully lit in the evenings and a leisurely cruise along the Danube River is the best way to see them. Absolute must do, and even repeat. Great photo opportunities, and so relaxing.
