You won't be disappointed visiting this beautiful victorian mansion in Doylestown PA. As you tour this gorgeous home make sure you don't miss the dollhouse room, a real treat!! If you want to learn more about the history of this home you can purchase the book, "A Treasured Legacy", stories of the James-Lorah Memorial Home. A very enjoyable visit!!

The Mercer Museum in Doylestown PA was a new find and what as discovery! Interesting old castle like concrete building filled with artifacts about every aspect of the old world life where craftsmanship was key. What a collection with well described sections covering blacksmith to candle making to wagon making and even a small general store. Fun for the whole family. Check out all floors and also get the discounted combo ticket including Fonthill Castle Mercer ‘s home to complete the adventure! Staff is also very nice and helpful.

I came here a couple of days ago with my cousin for the tour. We were so fortunate to have had Jeff as our tour guide. You could tell he put his heart and soul into telling us about the Grundy family and tons of history of this family. We learned so much information and how important this family was at this era in time. Just seeing all their beautiful furnishings it was amazing they were the original pieces and according to the information the family left how they were placed in each room. As we were told this is how the house would have looked if the Grundy family went out and returned. Unbelievable history of how wealthy they were and traveled to Europe and stayed for a bit. Jeff was excellent and made us feel welcome into this fascinating home which is a museum that has been preserved.
