The gardens surrounding the remains of the castle are kept beautifully with a vast array of plants and flowers. The castle grounds are a short walk from the cliff railway and there is a walkway right round the outside of the castle grounds providing a spectacular view of the surrounding area the river and the Severn Valley Railway, which is just a short walk down the hill and over a bridge from here.
