We live locally and love this great little place for a friendly drink and warm welcome. It’s a regular stop on our dog walks (it’s dog friendly). In summer it’s nice to sit out on the bridge, in winter it’s super-cosy indoors. Clientele mixed couples, friends, all ages, all friendly and easy to strike up a conversation with fellow drinkers. Lovely selection of gins (including welsh gins) - orange, botanical, seaweed, Parma violet, rhubarb, orange, as well as craft beers. Proud to support this local enterprise on our doorstep :)

If you are looking for a cocktail bar with a difference, the Book Club is the bar for you. With great entertainment, a vintage flair, tasty and reasonably priced cocktails made with fresh ingredients, and welcoming staff the Bookclub have everything you need for a fantastic night out. I love the atmosphere in this place and highly recommend

We visited The Farmers Arms, the Pub on the pond today for lunch and were greeted by a very pleasant young lady who assisted in my choice of meal. My compliments to the chef it was delicious. We will certainly visit again as I understand they intend introducing ‘Afternoon tea’ I wish them ever good wish for this exciting new venture. Full marks to you.

I went here on a Thursday night it was quiet but the bar staff were friendly and chatty and made a few great cocktails. It is a little pricey but we took advantage of the 2 4 1 offers they had on and tried something new and tasty. Look forward to the next time.
