Things to do in Bangkok, Thailand: The Best Sights & Landmarks

March 21, 2022 Roseanne Arnett

Golden palaces, floating markets, majestic porcelain-laid spires…you've never seen a capital city quite like Bangkok. Visit Pratunam or Siam Square for premium shopping, then unwind in the European-style gardens of Dusit. Thon Buri is home to the awesome Wat Arun temple, and over in Phra Nakhon, you’ll find the Wat Pho temple of the Reclining Buddha. Savor mango sticky rice at a food stall before taking in the gilded splendor of the Grand Palace.

Silom Village

Reviewed By jameslX561GH

At the recommendation of your tour company (Goway/Asia World Tours), my wife and I attended the Silom Village Thai Cultural Center Show and Dinner while in Bangkok for our 25th anniversary. We were awed by the music performed by the live band, and colorful intricate costumes and dancing by the 10 male and female performers. The closeness of the stage to the dinner tables made for an intimate experience and great pictures. Everyone was allowed to take pictures without extra cost during the show. The performers even stood still at various times during their dance routines to allow guests to take better pictures. You could also take additional pictures individually with the performers for an extra fee both before and after the show. The traditional Thai dinner served on low tables in small bowls was also a good experience. We highly recommend the show.
