Urwelt Museum Hauff

Visited the museum last December, The Holzmaden area is know to be a great place to find fossil from the Jurassic period as it was once a great sea. The museum contained amazing fossils, so well detailed. I don't think I ever saw specimens with better quality. The museum is a good size and the tour can be achieved in a couple of hours. In the park outside, they have build large dinosaurs - my young boy (3y old) loved them. If you are traveling, this is definitively worth a stop for a couple of hours to get a snack and a coffee while observing beautiful fossils.

Words can not describe this very impressive museum focusing on Prehistoric people. Ice Age Art is incredibly fascinating and this museum does an excellent presentation. I travelled to view Lion Man in Ulm and then onward to this very quaint town and marveled at all its beauty. This was an art historian dream for me.
