The village of Saou, nestled at the foot of the Roc perched on the highest syncline in Europe, is known for its forest, where fauna and flora specific to the Alps and Provence rub shoulders, and for its cultural and touristic activities. It is in this rich setting that you can find the traditional brewery ' Brasserie Markus', benefiting from the crystal waters of Vercors and of the sun of Provence. Valerie and Olivier will have the pleasure of welcoming you to the brewery. You will be able to discover the bar and the garden where you can savour our beers as well as our boutique. Our beers (white, blonde, amber and brown) are made in the tradition of northern Europe. It is here that we find the wonderful flavours of the brewing masters and beers from the abbeys. There are also other great opportunities during your visit; you can discover exhibitions, and can sometimes hear music from various concerts. Indeed, la "Brasserie Markus" is also a place of life and of culture appreciated by local people "Les dromois" and tourists. If when leaving, you still ask yourself why the hippopotamus is the symbol of the brasserie, come again! It will be an excellent reason to return to solve the mystery.
