I took my daughter to see the classic rock group Kansas at this newly renovated theatre in downtown Augusta. Being that much of the area surrounding this venue needs a facelift, this place has been updated and it is a fantastic place to see a live show. The sound was superb, the seating was comfortable and the staff were great. Highly recommended!

Imperial Theatre

The Imperial Theatre is noted in the National Register as critical to the character of the Broad Street Historic District. At ninety-two years old, with its immutable history, Edwardian style structure and current function it is the only medium size traditional proscenium theatre capable of flying scenery in the Augusta area, and for this reason it is a critical component of the infrastructure for area performing arts groups. It is the only performing arts theatre within a 150-mile radius that connects artists and audience members to historic social entertainment by providing a gracious and historic setting for all area citizens.

Le Chat Noir

Le Chat Noir (The Black Cat) is an intimate 60-100 seat theatre with attached lobby and full service bar that echoes a 19th century cabaret after one too many absinthes. Like it’s namesake, Le Chat Noir exists to produce and present entertainment to the CSRA that was previously not being offered. The theatre is home to Schrodinger's Cat, Augusta's premier improv comedy group.
