Enjoy a 4-day hike to the Choquequirao ruins. Discovered by a French explorer in the 18th century, this place fascinated 19th century explorers and was also visited by Hiram Bingham prior to his discovery of Machu Picchu. Grand and mysterious, this abandoned city is similar to Machu Picchu. Just recently COPESCO (the official body responsible for tourism in Peru) partially cleared the site, so there still remains a lot more to be discovered. This is perfect if you want to visit a number of stunning Inca sites linked by a beautiful stone pathway built in the midst of the most incredible scenery in rising altitudes.

We decided to visit the Nazca Lines and Ballestas Islands on a relatively short notice. In spite of this, Derwis and Vilma took action and made all the reservations within 24 hours, and communicated with us constantly to make sure we knew what was going on at all times. The trip was well-organized and everything went according to the itinerary. Paracas, where we stayed, is a beautiful city. At night we dined at some of the restaurants by the seaside and enjoyed relaxing and pleasant views and walks. The food was superb too! Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this memorable experience! - Hannah and Juan.

Valentin conducted a Zoom tour of Cusco for our group in Chicago. Simply using an i-phone (remarkably good images), he was able to tell us about the history and culture of Cusco. He was very easy to understand even while walking and identifying points of interest. We hope that he will do more virtual tours.

For those who prefer to explore untouched terrain, we have created the Ultimate Choquequirao Trek. The trek to Choquekiraw navigates both the region's lush cloud forests and snowcapped Andean mountains. While Machu Picchu gets close to 5000 visitors a day, Choquequirao may see less than a dozen, making this place a truly unique and quite retreat. I can't express how incredibly grateful I am to TreXperience for an espetacular (one in a lifetime) experience. From the beginning each staff member I spoke with was responsive and helpful, starting with them combining 2 tours in 1 as an alternative to the Classic Inca Trail (which is currently close). The staff is highly professional, trustworthy and accommodating. I felt like all the staff genuinely cared, I was safe and comfortable at all times (even while camping). It was actually very luxurious from the incredible guide to the talented chef that created a feast at every meal (it was actually some of the best food I had while in Perù) and the friendly/helpful assistant. I would highly recommend TreXperience to anyone who wants to visit Perú. The quality of service, care and details are worth every cent (especially for a multiple-day adventure). It was beyond my expectations, truly perfection, mil gracias a todos!

We were able to get two times to visit Machu Picchu--one was one a beautiful sunny afternoon and our guide was able to really explain everything. The other time, we were the first ones on the site at 6am, but the clouds were so dense and low, we were unable to see anything--but it was really cool being the only ones there.

The Sacred Valley is a region in Peru's Andean highlands. Along with the nearby town of Cusco and the ancient city of Machu Picchu, it formed the heart of the Inca Empire. Stretching roughly 60 kilometers, it’s an area of fertile farmland and Spanish colonial villages like Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Pisac is known for its Sunday handicraft market and hilltop Incan citadel.

This was my second time in the Amazon. I had been to the Amazon jungle in Manu. Tambopata has its own charm. The place is surreal, way too deeper and offers the opportunity to spot more animals and birds. The tour leader was very nice and fun to be with. The lodges and food they served were also outstanding.
