Enjoy a 4-day hike to the Choquequirao ruins. Discovered by a French explorer in the 18th century, this place fascinated 19th century explorers and was also visited by Hiram Bingham prior to his discovery of Machu Picchu. Grand and mysterious, this abandoned city is similar to Machu Picchu. Just recently COPESCO (the official body responsible for tourism in Peru) partially cleared the site, so there still remains a lot more to be discovered. This is perfect if you want to visit a number of stunning Inca sites linked by a beautiful stone pathway built in the midst of the most incredible scenery in rising altitudes.

We decided to visit the Nazca Lines and Ballestas Islands on a relatively short notice. In spite of this, Derwis and Vilma took action and made all the reservations within 24 hours, and communicated with us constantly to make sure we knew what was going on at all times. The trip was well-organized and everything went according to the itinerary. Paracas, where we stayed, is a beautiful city. At night we dined at some of the restaurants by the seaside and enjoyed relaxing and pleasant views and walks. The food was superb too! Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this memorable experience! - Hannah and Juan.

Valentin conducted a Zoom tour of Cusco for our group in Chicago. Simply using an i-phone (remarkably good images), he was able to tell us about the history and culture of Cusco. He was very easy to understand even while walking and identifying points of interest. We hope that he will do more virtual tours.

For those who prefer to explore untouched terrain, we have created the Ultimate Choquequirao Trek. I can't express how incredibly grateful I am to TreXperience for an espetacular (one in a lifetime) experience. From the beginning each staff member I spoke with was responsive and helpful, starting with them combining 2 tours in 1 as an alternative to the Classic Inca Trail (which is currently close). The staff is highly professional, trustworthy and accommodating. I felt like all the staff genuinely cared, I was safe and comfortable at all times (even while camping). It was actually very luxurious from the incredible guide to the talented chef that created a feast at every meal (it was actually some of the best food I had while in Perù) and the friendly/helpful assistant. I would highly recommend TreXperience to anyone who wants to visit Perú. The quality of service, care and details are worth every cent (especially for a multiple-day adventure). It was beyond my expectations, truly perfection, mil gracias a todos!

The Sacred Valley is a region in Peru's Andean highlands. Along with the nearby town of Cusco and the ancient city of Machu Picchu, it formed the heart of the Inca Empire. This was my second time in the Amazon. I had been to the Amazon jungle in Manu. Tambopata has its own charm. The place is surreal, way too deeper and offers the opportunity to spot more animals and birds. The tour leader was very nice and fun to be with. The lodges and food they served were also outstanding.

2 of us went together on the trip and had a wonderful time. Good The arrangements were very organized. Our team included Andy, our guide and translator, Roberto, our cook, and Justin, our Caballero and helper around camp, were wonderful, friendly and accomodating. Justin ran the extra miles to retrieve a mattress that had been taken with another group to the next campsite. Roberto made delicious, abundant hearty food in the Peruvian style with extra touches like bananas flambe. And Andy was a wealth of knowledge on Incan culture. He was enthusiastic in helping us learn more Spanish and Quechua and to learn more English himself. On returning to Cusco, he gave recommendations for us for restaurants with good typical Peruvian food. Staying at the Sanctuary was a very welcome comfort spot mid way with hot showers and a chance to meet another group over dinner. The weather cooperated with rains mostly in the night, cool temperatures in the morning for hiking, and sunny afternoons for relaxing when arriving at destination. The roads are gnarly to get to the base of the trail, however, we had Fidel, who was not only a very competent driver, but good natured as well. Choquequirao was fabulous and uncrowded, allowing for a very intimate experience. Overall, the trip was well worth the pain and effort. Needs Improvement Once we paid our downpayment, there was no confirmation until we asked. When we went to check in at the office, it was not where it was noted on the email communications. This made us a little nervous. However, we were able to find the office it with directions from locals. When we went to pay the remainder of the fees, they said we had to pay in cash as the Visa machine wasn't working. We had difficulty withdrawing enough cash to cover the remaining fees and were left short for any additional expenses we could have incurred. If we had not checked in before our briefing the night before the excursion, we would not have had a chance to get the cash. The tents were tired and worn. There were pin holes, missing stakes and guy lines, so they could not be set up properly with the outer shells were not spaced from the inner shell and transferred moisture when raining. One of the tents had a stuck zipper.

We were able to get two times to visit Machu Picchu--one was one a beautiful sunny afternoon and our guide was able to really explain everything. The other time, we were the first ones on the site at 6am, but the clouds were so dense and low, we were unable to see anything--but it was really cool being the only ones there.

My son was travelling for 4 months in South America and when he asked if I'd like to accompany him to trek and see Machu Pichu I jumped at the chance. The trek was superbly agonised and the food was amazing! I wouldn't say it was easy for a 54 year old but my son and the group and guide we were with kept me going. Worth every day of waking up at 4:45am with a cup of cocoa tea delivered to you! Our guide, Felix, was so knowledgeable about all the history, land and culture so we were well educated along every step of the way. We had the add-ons, with the poles, sleeping bags and the extra day hike to Rainbow Mountain. Totally recommend it to anyone that wants to do it in style and enjoy it!

Unfortunately it snowed on the day we reserved our tour; however it was one of our most enjoyable days due to the kindness of our guide Richard. He was very informative regarding the history and culture of the area and people. We were able to see some beautiful sites on the way to and home. We met some local folks, stopped by a lovely place to eat Los Cabanas and have coffee. The food was awesome!! Richard took some beautiful photos and was patient with us when we wanted to stop to view some sights/alpacas!! The time with Cusco Holiday Peru Servicios Turisticos was one of our most favorite and memorable!! Thanks for such a wonderful time and adventure!!
