発掘された土器や生活用品、ヒスイ、土偶などが一堂に展示されている、まさに縄文文化の宝物館とも言うべき博物館です。発掘された品々を元に、当時の様々な生活環境が模型や人形等で表現されています。特にヒスイは三内丸山遺跡から産出されたものではなく、糸魚川流域で産出されたものであるため、既にこの時代からも盛んに交易が行われていたことを示す貴重な史料です。縄文文化を展示する博物館ではありますが、館内は清潔でとても洗練されており、各展示物の解説も多言語表記であるため、海外からの観光客も楽しむことが出来ます。 展示の他にも、縄文服の試着や勾玉づくりなどのワークショップが開催されていることもあります。都市部では出来ない体験をここですることが出来るでしょう。 It is a museum that should be called the Treasure Museum of Jomon culture, a large number of items from the excavated Jomon period are exhibited, such as Potteries, Livingwares, Jade and Earthen figures. It is fitting that the award winning floats are housed in a magnificent building. The design draws your eyes to the entrance and it's like it is telling you there is something special beyond the door. The museum will not disappoint and the floats will take your breath away! Would suggest visiting on the weekend for the live performances. Just stunning and will make the festival on my bucket list

This is a must-visit place when you go to Shin-Aomori Station to take the Shinkansen to Akita or Aomori. Take some time out to visit this place and buy all the tasteful local foods and souvenirs. The shopping experience at this shop is wonderfully nostalgic.

This Fresh Market is right in the center of Aomori, very convenient to visit if you stay in the city center. It is open from 5.00 am to 6.00 pm. I recommend you to visit this market if you want to buy all the local produce and fresh seafood from Aomori in one go.

Shin-Aomori station is latest with all the facilities in the Shinkansen route. Shin-Aomori is the starting point to visit Hokkaido island using Shinkansen or Ferries.
