Ishak pasa Palace The unique Ishak Pasha Palace, with its most magnificent work built after the topkapi palace in Anatolia, its position overlooking the whole plain, its magnificent architecture and incredible dignitaries.Built near the Iranian border in the 18th century and influenced by Western architecture, its stone carving and decorations bear the traces of many different cultures from Iran to the Anadolu Seljuks State, Georgia to the Caucasus.today, it is located in doğubeyazıt district of Ağrı province in the territory of Turkey.Doğubeyazıt district is located on the ancient Silk Road Route.the district has hosted settlements since the late Neolithic period.the district, which was turned into a Sanjak Principality during the Ottoman period, entered into a rapid construction and was built during this period in the palace of Ishak Pasha.due to the geopolitical position of the palace and its district, it has been the scene of many wars and destruction since the 19th century, and the palace has been heavily affected by these ravages.the most accurate information about the construction of the palace is in the inscription written in Ottoman language on the harem Crown door located in the second courtyard.the inscription says that it was built in 1784 by Ishak Pasha II, grandson of Ishak Pasha I of the Çıldır dynasty.the architect of the palace and how soon its construction was completed is not known for certain.3 sides completely surrounded by high cliffs and mountains, the view of Mount Ağrı(ararat) is magnificent.Built on an area of about 7,600 square meters, measuring 50 and 115 meters, the palace was built at a height that was difficult to capture..Built on 3 floors, the palace consists of about 360 different units.basically, the palace consists of 3 parts, which are compatible with the courtyards and courtyards of each section.the palace is entered by the crown gate on the east side, which is the only grey point.1 around the courtyard consists of guard rooms,guard wards,dungeons,fountains and sections of horse shelters.the crown gate and fountain of this courtyard bear traces of Seljuk art .magnificent decorations and craftsmanship are great.From 1 courtyard to 2 courtyards, a magnificent crown door is entered again.after passing under a cradle vault of about 10 meters, 2 courtyards are reached.In 2 courtyards; there are servant rooms, a crown gate of selamlik,selamlik,tomb.(Selamlik is a structure reserved for Arrivals or departures (send-off), diplomatic reception and negotiation in mansions, pavilions and palaces or open spaces in ancient Turks. It's one of few historical attractions in Dogubyazit. I felt here the ancient atmosphere and examined beautiful ornaments. From the palace you can enjoy excellent view of Dogubyazit valley.
