I have been living in Aachen since 1972. I like the city so much that I never wanted to go anywhere else. Tried Bonn in between and then came back ruefully. I will show the reasons for this to everyone who will be "seduced" by me on a tour! Of course we stroll through a lot of culture in the center, but we are more concerned with city life, nice places, architecture, pubs and bars and places. At the end you get a list of tips.
