Reviewed By sanstefanoWe absolutely loved our stay at this cuddly and family-like guest house located in the countryside and run by a wonderfully warm, honest gentleman named Gianni. He greeted us at our arrival with a big smile, a WiFi pass, showed me the backyard filled with toys for our little daughter to play with and patiently explained how to visit all the main places I absolutely wanted to see again (Ragusa, Modica, Marina di Ragusa, Marzamemi and Montalbano's home). The rooms are perfect, modern, simple, very clean and there was the use of a fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals for our little girl. Gianni truly made us feel like we were at home. We will coming back again next summer! Thanks Gianni!

Like Staying at the home of a friend
Reviewed By BindicatedFinding our way to the hotel along the thin, winding roads was a bit of a challenge, but once we arrived it was wonderful. There is no front desk staff, but we arranged our arrival time via email and Laura was there to meet us and get us settled. She gave us a parking pass for our car and directed us to where we would be able to park, and we found a space easily within a 5 minute walk back to the hotel. The hotel itself is in a beautifully renovated old building. The rooms are all done differently. Ours was modern and sleek inside with all the conveniences we could want -- a mini fridge stocked with water, a very comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom, and even a little balcony overlooking the street below. Everything was very well thought through. The space was a bit small on one side of the bed, so they had a short bedside table on wheels that could be stored under the bed most of the time and then wheeled out easily whenever you needed whatever you stored there. There is a hot tub with a tiny grass lawn around it outside the back of the hotel and up a set of stairs to a higher level. We didn't use it but it looked very peaceful and relaxing. In the morning, there is a buffet breakfast provided downstairs in the kitchen. There were coffee drinks, meat, cheese, breads, yogurt, fruit, juice, granita, and some of the most beautiful small pastries I have ever seen. The breakfast room has a vaulted cellar type ceiling and was very cozy. They sell olive oils and have a wide variety of them out on the table for you to sample with your meal if you like. It was hot during our visit and the AC worked perfectly and kept us cool! The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and leave the car in the first spot we found for it. The staff were both friendly and very helpful. Staying here was great!

Reviewed By angiep51We were a party of 6 and only stayed for 1 night. The accommodation is in a beautiful rural location with stunning countryside views. The rooms were finished to an extremely high standard with modern fixtures and fittings. The bed was really comfortable and the toiletries were good quality and plentiful. There is a small plunge pool which I am sure would be lovely in the hot summer. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety of foods and home grown fruits to suit everyone's tastes. Simona was very attentive and looked after us all very well. You will need a car to visit here as the location is quite remote. We all enjoyed our stay.

Reviewed By keroppi91Breve soggiorno a Ragusa ibla dal 23 al 25 agosto. Ottimo soggiorno! La stanza, seppur piccola, è molto pulita e arredata in stile caratteristico, con pareti in pietra. Si trova in un’ottima posizione, strategica e a due passi (nel vero senso della parola) dal centro e da tutte le attrazioni della città, ma allo stesso tempo in una stradina interna, tranquillissima e libera dal via vai di turisti. abbiamo apprezzato molto la disponibilità di Francesca e la cura nei dettagli. Ci torneremo sicuramente prima o poi!

Reviewed By Candace MMy husband and I recently rented the downstairs room. The space is nicely decorated, clean and inviting. We visited in June and didn’t have to use the air conditioner. Only two minor issues: the hot water didn’t stay warm enough for two showers in the AM and it was very humid/damp in the bedroom (which may be expected given the location is the bedroom). The breakfast includes coffee, yogurt, fruit and croissants. The host is very welcoming and inviting and even helps to arrange taxis and things upon departure! We overall very much enjoyed this B&B as it was nicely located.

Tranquil Mediterranean Beach Villa
Reviewed By 478katieb478We stayed 2 quiet nights after a week in the beautiful but busy hill towns. We enjoyed a long beach walk, ending at a fascinating ruin near Sampieri. Walter’s hospitality was unmatched. He speaks English and knows the best places to dine and visit. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. A large grocery store is a 5-minute drive. This is a refuge and a great landing spot from which to explore surrounding hill towns like Modica and Ragusa.

Absolutely beautiful
Reviewed By marymikemartinezWe spent five nights in this beautiful villa. It was absolutely everything you could ask for in a villa in the countryside just over the border from Tuscany, in Umbria. Everyday we went to the beautiful hills towns of Cortona, Orvieto, Pweguia, and all around Val d'orcia. We hiked around the villa for hours. Its super hilly, so be prepared for a work out. The spa is top notch, and the restaurant is fantastic. But other than the scenery the best thing is the staff at the villa. They could not have been more accommodating, friendly, and professional. The most lovely people, and they go out of their way to make sure your every need is taken care of. I think we actually hugged some of the staff when we left. I'll never forget the olive trees and the people at this amazing villa. I hope to return someday.

To top it off, the warm welcome of the owner Nanni and his collaborator Anna: wonderful people.
