Villa Ocotea Monteverde

Felt like a VIP in Monteverde!

Reviewed By Nicola P

The villa was very clean and had everything we needed. We were left with plenty of supplies of bread, milk, fresh fruit and eggs for breakfast plus lots of coffee and tea. The villa is situated a short walk (approx. 10 mins) from the supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Although, please note that it’s very hilly and could be a struggle without a car. Karen was an excellent host from start to finish, she gave us some great recommendations of restaurants and things to do, most of which we booked through her such as the cloud rainforest tour and zip lining tour which made it all hassle free. I’d recommend this stay to my friends and family!

Casitas Sollevante Hotel

If you are planning your next holidays in Costa Rica you must take some time to go and visit the resort "Casitas Sollevante" in Montezuma. The resort itself is located just minutes away from the lively town of Montezuma, situated in the province of Puntarenas, in the southern Nicoya Peninsula (one of the 4 Blue Zones in the world). Casitas Sollevante is the perfect destination for travelers seeking an enchanting escape for their holidays.

Peaceful oasis

Reviewed By cimmmy

A truly beautiful place to stay with unbeatable views. The hotel itself is incredibly quiet and peaceful, and the casitas are well kept and well equipped. Staff presence is fairly limited, meaning there are periods of time when there is no one there so we were unable to get drinks or order taxis. Be aware the hotel is a 20 min walk up an extremely steep hill from the Montezuma town - cars or taxis are essential (and some nights it's close to impossible to get a taxi back).

Great Little Inn

Reviewed By K9166BEdavidt

I spent 3 nights in the Villas de la Selva. The rooms are spacious and my room had the makings of a kitchen. Great views of the Pacific and each room has a private deck. Beds and bathrooms were very comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Each morning about 10 white faced monkeys played outside on the rooftops and some ventured on my deck. I truly enjoyed the monkeys. Great location. centrally located in Manuel Antonio. Bathrooms was great and although I did not experience the common areas such as the pool, hot tub looked appealing. I thought the place was great for the money and would recommend it.

The End Of An Amazing Era

As we are the last guests of Darryl and Donna at the incredibly unique Shelter From The Storm Villas, we are honored to provide their last review. The warmth and hospitality of Darryl and Donna who passed the ownership on today will be very hard to duplicate. From the warm and welcoming smiles including the doggie greetings as you pull up to the Shelter, the personally led trek to your special villa, to the stocked refrigerator with everything from bacon and eggs to amazing fruit juice and Costa Rican coffee …….splendid in every way. I had an idea when I read the home page prior to our arrival in Costa Rica of the personality of our hosts, I was not prepared for all of the home-like touches and the beauty of their spirits and souls. May you both be blessed in your next adventure and rest assured Denny and I fell deeper in love with your beautiful country and with the two of you. We can only hope to experience your special spirit again in the future. We wish the new owners good luck in the future as they have incredibly huge shoes to fill. We wish the two of you the best in you new adventures. Pura Vida with Much love to you both….Denny and Deb❤️

Nice host

Reviewed By aczaki

Vernita was a very nice and attentive host. She helped us with recommendations on where to eat/drink and transportation to and from the property. WiFi was working well, we did not use the pool. The kitchenette was fully equipped, but the rest of the apartment was a bit crowded with furniture/decor.

The best place I’ve stayed in Costa Rica

Reviewed By missmorel

Villas Maria Luisa is a gem. The staff and owner are extremely friendly and we spent multiple nights playing pool & singing karaoke with them. There’s fresh fruit for you to eat, a lovely pool for you to swim in, and a cozy bed to come back to after surfing all evening. The rooms are equipped with a kitchen, which is a huge bonus. I could easily spend a month there. One word— PARADISE ?

Villas Cabuya Beach & Forest

We're located in the marvelous southern corner of the Peninsula of Nicoya, 1.5 km from the entrance of Cabo Blanco Absolute Reserve, Puntarenas.

Great little place

Reviewed By 759ticav

We spent 3 nights at Villas Cabuya. It's a quiet spot, off the "main" road between the village and Cabo Blanco, which meant no dust piling in - a common problem in the dry season. The cabinas are spotless - very much Covid aware - and very comfortable with nice touches: a clothes rack and very useful information folder. The kitchen equipment is definitely up to standard. Alain, who runs the cabins, was very friendly and helpful. The famous bakery is very close, also an excellent sushi joint - who'd have guessed? A couple of mini-supermarkets so you have everything nearby.
