Reviewed By yeechernhwangmbong Ambong villa Fed up with being cooped up at home during the pandemic but not blasé enough to brave the crowd , Ambong Ambong villa is the perfect retreat for us who have been craving for a holiday away from the masked up confines of downtown Penang . Individual villas are built to the natural contour of the terrain with minimum disruption to the existing habitat - we were surprised to find a 60 feet tall tree in the gateway of the villa fully ‘merged’ in with the hotel villa. The Hotel management is totally environmentally friendly . No plastics n disposables are handed out in the room or hotel premise . All water containers are glass bottles n toiletries containers too. Staff are friendly , helpful and often walk the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable What a fantastic venue to venture into the holiday world again !

Reviewed By alicha9191So.. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is pricey but! We came here on our honeymoon and I booked a chalet on the water. They upgraded us to a better room. I was inclined to stay on the water regardless. So they drove us around showing different rooms even though eventually I chose to stay in the room the upgraded us to stay in ( so because I was being difficult and picky they were courteous and more than happy to help ). They could have showed they were annoyed with me but they didn’t show a sign, very polite. So really, great great customer service. Also - the staff speaks multiple languages. Happy to help with anything. Booking anything. The whole check in procedure was very informative, pleasant and swift. The accommodation is beautifully located and even though we were disappointed with Langkawi as such t he accommodation made it up to us. Rooms are very clean and elegant. Breakfast buffet is to die for. Genuinely. I think I’ve gained several kilograms. It was our only food for the day as there was such a variety and the taste so amazing.. personally I just couldn’t choose nor stop eating. Beautifully located, greatly maintained, great infinity pool. I would wholeheartedly recommend for you to stay there.

Great place for couples or friends
Reviewed By ShangHighlandsConveniently located near Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah beaches, La Villa is great for couples or friends looking to unwind, but still close enough to nightlife so you don't get bored. Didn't book the private villas, but the pool room was very spacious, with a lounge and sleeping area, plus a TV box with YouTube, iQiyi and other streaming services. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and bright . Only room for improvement would be maintenance and cleanliness - overall it's fine, but the shower couldn't close properly because one of the hinges was falling off, and there were cobwebs on the desk. The sign leading into La Villa could be bigger - we missed it the first time because it is very small and only facing one direction, so depending on the side of the road you're on, you may miss it. Staff are very friendly.

Reviewed By joeni85Located at the strategic locale and from the airport to Nu Melati will cost approximately RM10 by MyCar or Grab. Food court just next to the hotel and Cenang Beach can be reached 5 minutes by walking distance. Room cleanliness as expected but the wifi signal was better than expected. Stayed for 3 days 2 nights and found no daily cleaning service provided. I would probably to stay here again in the future.

Good quite place
Reviewed By Jo EBeen here just a few days ago for a 2 night stay. Very peaceful, it has a magnificent viewcof nature. A little far from the hiway but its suits me and my partner well. They have bikes and motorcycles for rent 24hr/10rm for bike and rm30 for the motorcycle. Very courteous staff and friendly as well. They lend us the bike for 2 hrs for free so we can have our dinner. Highly recommended

I came with my wife for honeymoon and the day before checkin to fuuka villa i came to the place to see it and I really got shocked of how the place is amazing, and at that time it was my wife birthday and they help me for making a great setup for the room and the amazing part is the supersize which they made our day they prepare a great gift for my wife and that was really amazing and cute. Room is super clean and comfortable also the room has everything you need . In the future when i planning to visit langkawi i will never look or search for any place to stay cuz i will directly come to fuuka villa . Location is near to hidden beach and lot of shops and restaurants. Much love and respect

Sunset Valley is located in the middle of the island of Langkawi overlooking the beautiful rice paddies with a view to the 500 million year old geological formation and rain forest. Our resort has 6 traditional Malay houses, all with inside and outside living areas, kitchen, veranda, air conditioning and western style luxury bathrooms. There is a swimming pool and pavilion with BBQ facilities. We also offer breakfast as an optional extra on request. In our little convenience store our guests can buy food and drinks for meal preparation in their own houses. This is especially convenient for late arrivals. We are happy to help and advise our guests choose the most suitable island activities for them. The most popular activities are: snorkeling or scuba diving, mangrove boat tours, luxury boat cruises, island hopping, jungle walking, kayak tours, SPA and massage treatments, and many more. Another great way to discover the island is by car or motorbike which we are happy to book for you.
Beautiful spacious tranquil home, gracious hosts, perfect sunsets
Reviewed By kristinchandA big shout out to Gudrun and David for hosting us in their beautiful home, Sunset Valley. Very gracious hosts, always checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Happy to have met them (and their 3 dogs and 3 cats) and get acquainted. We spent 1 month in The Garden House at Sunset Valley and I think we couldn’t have picked better. Location is very central - 15 minutes drive to Chenang, 15 mins to Kuah, 15 mins to Tj Rhu - yet you feel like you’re quite away from everything. The land is serene, you have a great view of sunset over the paddy fields and you can listen to birdsong all day long. We loved the pool verandah - it is very well equipped, you have all you need for a pool side bbq, including a fridge to keep your beers cold and a built-in bluetooth speaker system. The house itself was perfect for us, an open-concept restored old kampung house, with a fully equipped kitchen allowing us to prepare our own meals, and with a big verandah where you can work or just sit and enjoy the space. I definitely recommend this place for anyone seeking a private, chilled, spacious location. I think it’s great for single families as well as bigger groups since they have a few houses to choose from. Thank you Gudrun and David (and Catmandu) for making us feel so at home. It was hard to leave but we know we’ll be back.

Reviewed By Jee09My husband and I stayed at Amin house in Foxhill for 5 nights over Christmas. We love the place as it is serene and quiet, with a very local malay village feel. Cenang beach is too many people and too noisy for us especially during peak season. If you want beaches at your doorsteps and party then this place is not for you. Located in center of the island, it is 20 minutes to go the corners of the island. Taking Grab is not and issue from Foxhill. We uses Grab car service for the first few days and then rented a car from Ann, the host for the last 2 days of our trip at a very reasonable price. You have a choice of opting for breakfast in Foxhill or you can go out and try the local breakfast. Nearby Foxhill is the famous Pak Malau Nasi Dagang. For those who wants to try home cooked dinner, Ann provides pre-ordering of this as well. Overall we love our stay and will come back again in future.

Welcome to Kawah Padi Garden Villa, a hidden jewel in the heart of Langkawi Island. Located behind the historical site Makam Mahsuri (Mahsuri Mausoleum) our Garden Villas are embedded by beautiful horizon wide paddy fields with Langkawi's pride Mount Gunung Raya at our peak. Cenang Beach, Kuah Town and Langkawi International Airport is only a 15 minutes drive away. Kawah Padi Garden Villa consist of 6 villas/rooms that all have a private bathroom attached with hot and cold shower. All rooms also has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. In the common area we have two gazebos in the garden, a perfect spot to relax and unwind. We also have a cafe where we sell coffee and a shared outdoor kitchen for your convenience. You will reach the main road at Makam Mahsuri by a 700 meter scenic walk across the paddy fields. At the main road you will find restaurants serving local food from breakfast till dinner time. We will be happy to advise you on the best local dishes to try.
Peaceful retreat

In the centre of Langkawi you are close to all areas of the island (approx 20 mins by car/scooter), whether looking for beaches, culture or nightlife. Mun is a great host and very talkative! He provides a great breakfast both continental or freshly cooked Malaysian food. I highly recommend this place whether you are a backpacker or a tourist...there is accommodation to suit all budgets and taste.

Pak Raja Villas, your home away from home. We have 10 family villas which consists of 3 air-conditioned bedrooms with attached bathrooms, dining and living area and kitchen. All furniture is made from quaint teak wood.Our facilities include 2 swimming pools (adults and kids), multi-purpose hall (60 pax) with dining area, Koi pond and fish pond for recreational fishing and BBQ area.

Reviewed By Ahsan KThe only good thing was the sunrise, sunset and rain. Apart from that, horrible management, too many lizards and spiders. Dont recommend 1%. Go to Berjaya or Adya. They were much better than this. Didnt like at all.
