Worst Hotel with zero amenities and exorbitant prices
Reviewed By VenkyTravellerWe are two families and booked two rooms in this hotel for new year’s eve as we could not find any other hotel. 1. The rooms are so small that you can’t even walk comfortably. 2. The towels they provide have stains all over and if you ask for extra towel, they give you tiny napkins - the ones that are placed in the bathroom doors to wipe your feet. Stinky and disgusting. 3. The blankets have stains and when asked they said those are burned stains. Looks bad and I don’t know why they still keep them. 4. They close the shutter of the hotel by 9:30 PM and you have to call them or knock on the shutters for them to open it for you if you come after 9:30 PM… and they take their own sweet time to open these shutters while you keep standing on the road in the chilly weather waiting for them to let you in. 5. No parking for vehicles and the whole area is so shady that even if you park your car on the road - there is no guarantee for your vehicle or its parts. 6. On the day of our check out there was no hot water. It was terribly cold and there was some problem with water heater. They were providing hot water in buckets for those who are still staying but since we were checking out, they never bothered about us. They did not provide hot water and they did not even feel sorry or apologise. Worst behaviour with the customers. 6. They charge you before hand for any extra things that you ask like mattress/bed etc. These items will be provided only if you pay the amount before hand. Never seen any hotel charging for these things beforehand. We have taken an extra bed and the quality of the bed is worst than a one star hotel. 7. No toiletries. They don’t provide brush/paste or anything at all. 8. There are no fire safety measures or directions. God forbid something happens, there is no way to escape. When we raised all these concerns, they did not even bother to answer and never even felt apologetic. They simply did not care. Overall, you will be cheated and the service they provide you for the exorbitant prices they charge is terrible. I will never recommend this hotel. There are better hotels in this area. Stay away from this place.

Reviewed By 764vinaypMy worst 'hotel' stay ever ... Even after paying in full advance, I was given the left over spare rooms. Rooms were so small, giving the feeling of jail cell, paint had peeled off, no towels, no sanitizer, tv remote batt. were dead, no geyser. Rooms opened up at the reception, so no privacy. The manager was so rude, it was as if he was doing favour to us by giving accomodation. we had booked for 3 nights, but we checked out in 2 nights only. My personal suggestion, do not opt this & even if you plan to, check the rooms before you check-in or pay for reservation. The only star is for the 'Sweet Stud' guy who always had a smiling face

The property, with ample parking, is very clean, the rooms are large (we used to roll out our yoga mats every morning) and the staff is courteous and helpful. Bistro 16, their restaurant is spacious and on certain evenings when many guests turn up from outside, one has the option of sitting on the lawn in front. The well stocked bar is impressive. The restaurant serves good multi cuisine meals besides a sumptuous breakfast offering. The restaurant could consider adding variety for hotel guests staying for long periods. What we didn't like - umm, that's a tough one....

Hideaway Heritage is a tastefully designed property and is located in Upper Risa Colony in Dhanketi. The interiors are beautifully done with various colour themes. Rooms are bright with natural light streaming in from windows. The walls are painted with bright colours and decorated with beautiful scenic paintings. There is also a small seating area in the room. The whole place is surrounded by lush greenery making your stay experience even more peaceful and pleasant. The rooms are equipped with various basic amenities for a comfortable stay. There is a dining area and a seating area where guests can relax and enjoy delicious treats. The whole place is secured with the presence of CCTV cameras in the premises. Various other amenities offered here include free Wi-Fi, power backup, parking facility and laundry service for the convenience of guests. War Memorial, Ever Living Museum, Lady Hydari Park and Shillong View Point are some of the attractions which are located near the hotel and can be explored by guests easily.

The reception was very informative, Mr Taranath was very helpful in planning my tour trips around Meghalaya. I recommend RI Kanaan for future travellers.

Indeed a home away from home
Reviewed By Kunal_BhowmickAmazing place to stay...we stayed here for 6 days... Only drawback is the location of this place as it is a bit difficult to walk/figure out for the first time... The owner was very nice...he took an initiative to escort us to the location from the nearest landmark...that too in heavy rain... The room was large...all the rooms had tv, heater and all other basic requirements...including attached bath...however, all room don't have attached bath... There is a washing machine and a free kitchen...i. e. you can cook and the owner would not charge you for anything... There is also a caretaker named Lal...who is very friendly...made us feel like we were in home...there was an extra washroom...which was also available for us...in case of emergency... There is also a courtyard for drying clothes...
