Fantastic views
Reviewed By SeeitBelieveitThe location of this property is fantastic with views out over the bay and a lovely private beach. You can snorkel, paddle board and kayak all from the property. The rooms are good, WiFi wasn’t great in our room and like in many places in Thailand they don’t have international plugs which would be a plus. Breakfast was poor over all considering the price point of the hotel. Over all the staff were friendly but the level of English was limited and there seemed to be a lack of any kind of management at the property. Again for the price of the rooms you would expect better customer service. The best member of staff was the life guard on the beach and helping with water sports. Would stay again but would expect service improvements.

Great views, lovely rooms but terrible service
Reviewed By KeiraSc01Beautiful resort with lovely views and tasty food, however visit ruined by unfriendly member of waiting staff. Our breakfast visit was less than satisfactory as we turned up at 10.50am when breakfast finishes 11.30am and everything was already put away. We asked the lady working if possible to still eat and she said yes. As normally there is a coffee machine and juices out we had to ask for a drink. The lady ignored our requests until we asked again and she brought us hot water in a cup. I asked again for juice and coffee in which she said they don’t have. I then asked another member of staff who brought us juice immediately. I finally caught the ladies attention again to ask for our coffee as she had been avoiding our area the whole time. After 5 attempts we received our coffee. I asked for milk and she mumbled no and walked off. I then had to ask the lady at reception for some milk who eventually made the lady bring it to us. I have no idea why we deserved such hostile attitudes and I will not be recommending the breakfast service to my friends.

Mostly good but a couple of bad points
Reviewed By C1086VGandrewwI read a lot of other people’s reviews on this and didn’t agree with a lot of the points raised from my 6 nights in the hotel - in fact in one case I think they were talking about a different hotel as the location didn’t seem right. Saying that, there are good an bad points on this hotel. Before I list them however I have one point to note- Koh lipe is not a cheap island so don’t try to compare it to Phuket or Krabi which are generally cheaper in terms of hotels, eating out, bars and shops. In terms of this hotel- it is not 5 star and is one of the cheaper options if you compare location and swimming pool etc. Now the positives and negatives. Positives - good beach front location, great for snorkelling at high tide and a nice beach. - room was ok considering I only paid for the cheapest room- location was ok, it was large and bed was clean - I had no problem with aircon, mosquitoes or hot water - in fact I didn’t even see a mosquito. I have seen a lot of other reviews raising these points - I didn’t have issues with any of them - breakfast was ok, in fact better than those I had on Krabi and phi phi which were similarly rated hotels. Don’t expect gourmet food though- it’s a 3 star hotel. - staff were friendly and helpful but did have limited English Negatives - not enough sun beds or beach umbrellas and they were in a poor state of repair, the cushions were very worn out and not so clean. Easily resolved and not hugely expensive to fix so don’t know why not done. - the standard rooms are up some steep steps which some may struggle with and some of them don’t have great views. I was lucky, mine had a sea view (worth asking for when you book) - general state of repair was not bad but could have been better- needed a bit of a freshen up. - bar and restaurant on beach was a bit pricey and only sold small beers (not the larger ones). I am sure they could have been a lot busier if a bit cheaper as location was great. I ate lunch there every day and food itself was actually quite good all be it a lot more expensive than just up the road. Overall- I would stay there again. I much preferred sunrise beach to the main beach- nowhere near as many boats and just a lot nicer. Location for walking street was just about right- not to close or to far.

Awesome rooms on a stunning beach
Reviewed By JazzabongoThe Balinese villa rooms were lovely, with a great outdoor bathroom, comfy bed, and stunning views of the ocean. The area around the villa and reception was well cared for. The staff were friendly, and helpful, and the Thai food from the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast so-so. As lovely as it is, just lacked something to make it perfect, but certainly pretty close. A great place to stay on a beautiful island.

Reviewed By PurpleHaze1234Firstly, what you have to understand is that accommodation in Koh Lipe is quite expensive relative to other Thai islands as it is so small, it is simple supply and demand. We booked this room as a private room with shared bathroom and we booked it knowing that there is a gap at the top of each room as we had looked at other trip advisor reviews. I will admit that it is false advertising to sell these rooms as private when they are more like partitioned dorms but we didn’t mind as we had booked it knowingly. Also Koh Lipe is so beautiful that you will not spend very much time in the room, it is somewhere to put your head for the night. The most important thing is that this hostel is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the aircon is very powerful. The owners are very friendly. The dorm was a bit noisy at night as two girls decided to have a loud full scale conversation at 3am but its not managements fault that people are rude!

Reviewed By Marshall HThis guesthouse is close to good restaurants, night market and bars.Its a basic guesthouse. The room is very clean and bed is funky but comfortable. The owners are very very kind. Pi offered me his expensive mountain bike to roam around and he took me with my heavy bags to the ferry pier for 100B. The ladies that work in the guesthouse are also very friendly, kind and generous with shared food. Can't say enough about this place.

Cheap and does the job !
Reviewed By sezzyloulouOnly stayed one night to catch ferry next day to Langkawi. Our bus was late, supposed to get to hotel around 6pm, but didn’t arrive until 10:30pm (their reception shuts at 8) a lovely lady waited up for us to let us in. Spacious clean room, comfy twin beds, hot water shower, towels and toiletries. Large balcony we could sit for a drink and relax. Good air con and WiFi Offered free coffee before leaving. Get local bus to ferry port, only 30tb each. Around 10kms. Tuktuk were trying to charge 200tb !!
