The British colonial city of Ipoh had humble beginnings, but has blossomed into a beautiful cityscape that marries old-world charm with modern amenities. This is a foodie's city, offering endless street stalls and restaurants all eager to serve up a sample of mouthwatering local fare. Walk it all off on a jaunt through breathtaking limestone caves that seem carved by the capable hands of a higher power.

Great place to spend time with love one

Reviewed By Northernboy8891

Was travel from penang to get a short getaways, once entering the lobby there was a aroma smell sort like lemon, after asking the hotel staff it was lemongrass so silly me. The room was fantastic and beautiful ?. Sadly don't have bathtub. But the bed was comfortable probably due to the lemongrass aroma making us feel so relax. They also have a roof garden. (P/s: better go there at night as afternoon was so hot) Overall I would say very different compare with other places I stayed b4.

Looks Can Be Deceiving

Reviewed By monk3yseendo

When we took a look at the hotel on the online portals, the photos we see are nice clean looking rooms which even kind of gave us the impression that the rooms might have been refurbished. Upon checking in, firstly, the room is pretty small. Which wasn’t much of the issue at hand. However, what came as a bigger surprise was the smell which hits you like a freight train once you open the door. And believe me, the yellow stains on the wall near the headrest is a far cry from the pictures online. In addition, the walls of the room are pretty thin. Therefore, if you have a neighbour with children with huge lungs and like to play with doors, you will be in for a rough night. Parking is pretty convenient being directly in front of the entrance to the hotel so in the event it is raining, you won’t get too wet. The saying usually goes, you get what you paid for which in our case was RM 90 for the night. However, in this case, given that what we saw online does not actually mirror the room we got, at best, we would use the phrase, looks can be deceiving. But then again, we would summarise the ludicrousness of the experience as conspicuous as the stains on the white washed wall.

The bar opposite was a nuisance

Reviewed By alwaystravel8873

After a long drive and check in wanting to have a good rest turns out to be a nightmare when the direct opposite bar was a nuisance until 2am in the morning when they stop the band. The location and stay of the place was pleasant but end up could not be resting well. Seriously looking for a quiet place to rest do not consider here.

Impossible to get a good night sleep

Reviewed By AlexanderB1854

The hotel staff is very friendly, the room is clean. But the windows are facing the road and it’s impossible to fall asleep at night due to constant noise from the road. The owner didn’t bother installing proper windows. On top of that the other guests were shouting and kids crying at 1-2am in the morning as if there are no basic rules and no one to enforce them. Definitely not recommending this place.

Great Hotel and Staff

Reviewed By pearly855

We booked a room for 4 as we travelled as a family. The room is clean, firm bed quiet and the staff are helpful. It is a short walking distance to Ipoh old town. I definitely will stay at this hotel again for my next visit. The room comes with a huge TV mounted up and hanging from the ceiling. There is nothing much to watch but it is a smart TV, probably one can surf the Net or Youtube for more entertainment. The room comes with basic facilities but since it is a budget hotel, we are not expecting too much. We are not sure why the food on the table was infested with ants.
