Huge disappointment
Reviewed By junejulesMy family and I had planned on staying here for a week, but after the first night, we were very disappointed. The hotel was not at all what we had expected, the hotel was dirty and wasn't kept well - We found mold and rust in the shower and the sink was dirty. We were told that it was only a short walk to the beach, but we walked past abandoned buildings, through the grass and found something you can barely call a beach, there were chairs, bottles, plastic bags, leftover food and the whole place was trashed. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cosy family vacation with your kids or if you want to go explore the city, and we could barely find a parking spot without bumping our car into anything. The location of the hotel was far from the airport and a nice city, we had to use our car to get around if we didn't want to listen to trucks and planes all the time. The staff was nice, but when we informed the hotel that we were moving to another hotel in their chain, we didn't get our money back but had to pay double. We had hoped that we would've gotten our money back for all the nights we didn't sleep at Vasia "Royal".

Reviewed By Ирина БIt was an amazing trip, hotel is so beautiful and cozy, I loved it from the first look. Staff are so friendly and always ready to help, check in was super fast. So beautiful roof bar where we had delicious breakfast in the morning and cocktails in the evening with endless sea view. Highly recommended this hotel for long and short vacation.

The 4-star Amounda Bay was completely renovated in 2018 and features an outdoor pool surrounded by sunbeds, a restaurant and snack bar. Air-conditioned rooms open out to a balcony. All the rooms have a TV, radio, safe, mini fridge and free toiletries in the bathroom.The 24-hour front desk can provide you will all the information needed.

Reviewed By 42agnespwe stayed at this hotel for 13 nights with an all inclusive offer, just to relax. We had a room with a shared pool.We shared the pool with 3 other rooms. There is a little patio and then there is a direct excess to the pool. Food was good and fresh ans always diversified. Drinks are incl, but some spirits or cocktails are coming with an extra charge, but reasonable priced. The beach is a 5 min. walk and there is a private part fom the hotel. Unfortunatly no drinks and food there, but you can order a lunchbox from the hotel to take if you like. The hotel is very clean and renovated. In front of the hotel is a busstop to go directly to the City center of Heraklion or to the airport. Near by the hotel are lots of supermarkets and restaurants. The staff was just great. I got to mention some of them, because the are extraordinary. Marina from housekeeping is a real gem, always with a smile and very hard working. Nikko from the hotelbar, was our prince charming. Not only his cocktails were extremely good but also his charming personality. Zachos from the poolbar was always up for a little joke and in a good mood. Kallia from the frontoffice always very helpfull with lots of informations and ideas, she is smiling all the time and a great personality. Alltough a didn't mention other staff names, they all did a great job and made our vacation something special! We surely like to go back in near future, as we had a great time!!!

Reviewed By klavdijai2020The locatin of hotel is perfect, near beach, night clubs, restaurants and shops. The staff, especially the owner is very, very kind, friendly and hospitable. Our room and the terrace was spacious and well equiped, there was everything what we needed for our staying. One day our room wasn't cleaned but anyway we got fresh towels and loundry without any problem. The air condition is extra charged but I recomend to pay for it (7€/day) beacuse it is very hot in a room. In front of hotel is nice bar Mango, which I recommanded too. Unfortunatelly we didn't have time to spend some time in the pool area, but it looks very nice and relaxing. We have really nice staying. Thank you for everything!

Reviewed By Kotsos1000We visited Bellino in early August and what hit us with a good impression right from the start was the fact the accommodation is child-friendly (ours are 5,7 and 12). The children’s’ swimming pool is shallow and round, and the surroundings are generally easy for kids to find room to play. As Bellino is relatively small and “Mama Soula” is always there 24/7 , you feel it’s totally OK to leave your kids playing around the pool or the garden, like it’s your own backyard. We were also happy to see that staff adhered to anti-COVID measures and rooms were cleaned regularly.

Reviewed By SidesFamily2017Beautiful hotel with comfortable beds, large rooms for a family of 4-5. The host Thomas so welcoming and helpful. We had to leave for an early ferry and he had prepared us hot breakfast sandwiches, hard boiled eggs and sweet bread to go by 7 a.m. and reserved us a car.

Reviewed By darth151Lovely little family run hotel. You arrive as a tourist but leave as part of the family. It’s within easy walking to the small town centre and beautiful sea front full of restaurants and bars. George, Valya and family are so welcoming and there is nothing that is too much trouble. George was always on hand for a cool beer, coffee and pizzas to die for. I have to add here that the pizzas were made using local produce and the olives and olive oil taste nothing like UK supermarket one.....they’re absolutely beautiful. The hotel also boasts a lovely little outdoor pool, that’s never overcrowded. So if you’re on the lookout for a small hotel with friendly hosts in a nice peaceful location then this little gem could be just for you.
