Reviewed By Heather MWe just returned from the most wonderful and relaxing vacation at the Grand Velas Rivera Nayarit. Our concierge, Luis, was AMAZING! From the moment we arrived Luis was so helpful and accommodating. When our plans changed unexpectedly, he was able to come through for us as we were scrambling to find a notary nearby. Luis assisted us with all of our reservations, excursions, transportation needs, as well as scheduling our COVID testing -which made it very easy to return to the U.S. Thank YOU Luis! The Grand Velas hotel is private, exclusive, and beautifully appointed throughout the entire facility. The exterior grounds are impeccably clean, and the 3 BDR Family suite is absolutely stunning. The patio with hot tub and view is perfect for evening relaxation as the sun is setting. The infinity pool and beach cabanas are a must do! The beach was our go-to every day for swimming in the warm ocean, and relaxing at the cabana. We enjoyed the flexibility of the Azul buffet for breakfast and lunch, and had some excellent dinners at the specialty restaurant, Sen Lin. The Italian restaurant, Lucca, was our 2nd favorite, but all 4 restaurants are great! Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful tranquility of this beautiful resort. The Grand Velas is worth every penny!

From dining at the restaurants to pool side service. A few to mention are Lamberto, Jorge, Antonio, Wenceslao, Orlando, and Alexis from Lemmon Grass and can't forget my quesadilla lady Angeles.

We continue to make this our vacation of choice because of the people at the resort that truly treat us like family. It all starts at the front with Raul, Gerry, and Omar. We know we are in good hands when they greet us daily and help us with our every need- thank you guys! The crew at the nice restaurant, The LaCasona, is great. Roger and Miguel are some of the best you will find anywhere in the world! Luccio at the pool bar knows how to make a great drink with a smile. Then Fidel at the pool was our constant in ensuring the comfort of our large family at the pool. Thank you to all. You are impressive in your service. Great resort, with a great staff, that give world class service.

Construction site right next to our room! Lots of noise and a view of a fence net!

We only discovered this in the morning when we opened the doors to find a huge net in front of our balcony with a construction site to the right. If you want to sit outside all you can hear is the sound of construction, not very relaxing all!!! At no time were we advised that a construction site was going on before we were allocated our room by Hardrock Hotel. I spoke to Gabriel in guest services who did not offer an apology and had zero interest in sorting the situation out. After stressing the situation he said come back in 30mins and he will see what he can do! After returning back to see Gabriel he advised that he can get us the same room on the otherside of the hotel but it won't be ready until after 3pm! As we are a family and had fully unpacked the night we arrived we just thought its not worth waisting any more of out time on holiday repacking all of our things, waiting for the room to be ready and then unpacking everything again! The Hotel is nice but the experience we have had is so disappointing, I've made a video of the view and all the noise so I can make people aware of what the will experience in this section of thd hotel they they don't tell you about!

Beautiful resort secluded in Paradise!
Reviewed By JeremyBStevensWe stayed for a week as a married couple enjoying some R&R. The rooms were very nice with every appointment you could ever need. We had twice a day maid service. The resort is rather large and built on a hill so long walks is commonplace here. The service at the beach, lazy river, and adult pool is identical and consistent. The menu of drinks and food is excellent. We rotated our days between the beach, lazy river, and adult pool. None were overly crowded. The ocean water was cold while the pools were very comfortable. The on-site restaurants were good. It’s what you expect at the Four Seasons. We did take the shuttles into town and are at several local restaurants. Lobster Paradise and Mina’s were our favorites. The Spa was very nice and service there was top notch. We both had multiple massages and highly recommend them. I played Golf twice and would would rate the courses as a 8/10. The scenery and difficulty is incredible but the courses are not maintained like you would experience in the states. They are very good but I am not convinced they are worth $250+ green fee. Shuttle to course was easy and convenient. We did purchase the beach bag we had in our room. We looked at local shops in town and the one at the FS was nicer quality. If the FS is in your budget this place will mot disappoint!

It’s beautiful but..
Reviewed By Larryanq72This place was a breath of fresh air coming from villamagna in terms of quality of the rooms and food. The rooms are beautiful, staff is attentive, but the elevators are FAULTY!! There are only 2 to use for whole resort and only 2 people are allowed on them at a time, and we’re pretty convinced it’s not a COVID precaution. The first time we were on the elevator it stopped pretty abruptly and made a loud sound (terrifying) the second time my boyfriend was on the elevator alone and it as he was going down to the 4th floor the stopped so abruptly that it jolted his neck and back. At that same time the elevator doors would not open. He kept pushing the “emergency” number and no one could speak English, he ended up prying the doors open himself to get off!! Because there’s only 2 elevators and that one wasn’t working, he ended up hiking up 2 flights of stairs injured to notify me and whoever else he could find to let them know so someone else doesn’t get hurt again. Could you imagine an elderly person?! I called the front desk 5 times to report this and it just kept ringing!! We were finally able to get ahold of security to make an incident report and he was seen by a doctor there who did treat him for pain. The staff reordered our dinner and sent it to the room which was nice since we were in the midst of dinner when this whole debacle happened. Aside from that this place is a ton of walking, so if you have a back injury or bad knees etc, I do not recommend it. The preferred area was packed full of people so If you want a spot by the pool, get there early as chairs are limited. We were also shocked that COVID testing was not included.. we paid $70 for 2 rapid tests. We also bought into the travel club (12k later) and we’re really hoping the next experience we have here doesn’t involve an orthopedic injury.

Reviewed By USPnTXJust stayed with my family at the St Regis. Can’t say too many good things about this place. The service and food were excellent. The rooms fit the relaxed vibe of the property. They could use some updating but are comfortable and well laid out. Service - this is where the St Regis really sets itself apart from other resorts. Every employee that I encountered seemed to genuinely love their job and wanted to see the guests happy. The level of service received from each and everyone at the St Regis is just unheard of these days. The only downside for the resort at the moment is the construction that is going on. The drone from the jackhammering of the area they are re-doing was a bit much. It didn’t ruin the vacation for me. However, I’m sure there are folks that would have a hard time getting past the noise. We will definitely be going back but it will be after the construction.
