Great hospitality and spotlessly clean
Reviewed By AnitaExploresYannis and Marta are perfect hosts. They met us at the airport at 530am and took us to the port the following morning. The pension is spotlessly clean, our room was well equipped with AC, fridge, hairdryer, shower and toilet. Our veranda had glorious views across the town. Breakfast on the terrace is perfect with plenty of shade and the most fabulous views. The pension is perfectly situated , a short walk into town and directly opposite the Windmill Restaurant.

In Iliada our rooms contain either two or 3 single beds with orthopedic and antiallergic mattresses. They are equipped with a private bathroom, an air conditioner, a TV, a fridge, a hairdryer and an iron. Clean towels and bed linens are provided daily while the room is always cleaned every single day. Smoking is not allowed in the room, however smoking is allowed in the garden area. Moreover pets are not allowed inside the rooms. Lastly free Wi-Fi Internet is accessible throughout the premises. Iliada is a new guest house in the city centre of Skiathos Town. Only one minute away on foot you will find yourself in Papadiamantis Street, the main street of Skiathos town, where all the souvenir shops, bars, coffee shops, restaurants and Greek tavernas are located. With both the port and the closest beach only five minutes away on foot, the bus station for the rest of of the beaches two minutes away, and the airport is 2km away.

Reviewed By Holger_196969Stayed for 9 nights at this lovely place in a central but quiet location of Skiathos. The mattress was very comfortable and everything was very clean. The owner is absolutely lovely. Will definitely return next year.

Good location, friendly staff but lacks some basic amenities
Reviewed By John RI'm affraid the review is mainly negative and I won't recommend it to anybody else. Yes, it was cheap and it's close to everything, just in the middle of the old town. Which introduces a small issue with parking, so I'd rather rent a scooter than a car (unless you have a family). But there are options around, for 5-10min walk. Staff extremely friendly, well done guys you made a poor experience much better. But the hotel is awful ... cheap doors (squeaky and barely closing), cheap mattresses and pillows, cheap fittings in the bathroom. The bathroom was the worst, no windows or ventilation so all the humidity was gathering on the ceiling waiting to drop on your hair.. very unpleasant.

Reviewed By JunglemilieWe chose Anna's Pension after having spent one night at the island camping. We had a terrible night there, so, in the morning, we tried to find a room in a hotel or a B&B. That's when we came across Anna's Pension. Thank god, they still had rooms available. The room was of reasonnable size, very nice, well decorated and very clean. We had two single beds, a little TV, air conditionning working properly, a clean bathroom and a little place on the commune terrasse with chairs and a table. We also had a place to hang our clothes outside so it could dry. The pension is located a little outside of town, it is a 10-15 minutes walk from the center of town and it is a little uphill but it's definitively worth it. The view from the Pension is breathtaking. They don't have WiFi but who cares, you're supposed to be there to relax right ? ;) I would recommend this place to everyone who visits Alonnissos !

Okay for quick stopover

We just needed a room for one night as we were on our way to the nearby island of Alonnisos for an extended stay at a family home. The room was clean but basic, which was fine for our needs. The two people we interacted with were cordial and efficient, though it did help that I spoke a bit of Greek. As for the value, the price wasn't bad given that room costs in Skiathos Town aren't economical in the middle of the summer. We would stay here again in a pinch if need be, but again only for one night.

Reviewed By Sotiris KΣαν χώρος είναι πολύ προσεγμένος, με ωραία ευρύχωρα δωμάτια, πολύ καλά εξοπλισμένα με έπιπλα και κουζινικά, για να φτιάξεις ό, τι θέλεις, και μεγάλα μπαλκόνια. Η διαχείριση θέλει πολύ δουλειά δυστυχώς, καθώς η ιδιοκτήτρια φαίνεται να είναι άμαθη και δυσκολεύεται να διαχειριστεί την κατάσταση. Κακή εντύπωση σίγουρα μας έκανε το γεγονός ότι φώναζαν και γελούσαν με τον βοηθό της τις μεσημεριανές ώρες που καθάριζαν τα δωμάτια, με αποτέλεσμα να μην μπορούμε να ησυχάσουμε. Router υπάρχει μόνο στον διάδρομο, με αποτέλεσμα τα δωμάτια να μην έχουν internet. Επίσης, πρέπει να φροντίσουν να τοποθετήσουν και καμμιά πινακίδα, γιατί δύσκολα το βρίσκεις εκεί που είναι χωμένο.

Unacceptable and unprofessional behavior
Reviewed By Katerina SWe reserved a room with double bed 2 months ahead of our check in(22/08/2018).One week before we go with my boyfriend we called to Prodromina and i spoke with Mr Christos to confirm it, (double room ,50€ per night)according to him everything was as we asked.When we arrived to Skopelos we went directly to the pansion , it was close from the center (8-10 min by foot).When we arrived to pansion they were friendly, smily and helpful with us! When his son showed us the toom we were suprised it was very different from what we requested and supposedly reserved !It was one room with 4 single beds! I immediately went to Mr Christos and i informed him that this is not what we asked for .Mr Christos informed me that he did a mistake and he was confused ,he alsos informed me that at the moment there was no other room available .I said ok and i went to talk with my boyfriend and our friends that they are from Skopelos town. We left our luggage for 4hrs(15:00-19:15) in the room in order to check for another hotel/pansion that would suit our needs.After 4 hrs of research due to the fact that this was at last minute we couldnt find much most of the were fully booked or too expensive.In the end we found a place and we went to Prodromina to inform them that we cannot stay as this is not what we asked for.First of all we apologised to Mr Christos occupying the room for couple of hours (luggage only nothing was used in the room) and we asked if there was some fee that he would like us to pay for this , of course we were not expecting he would ask for something since this was his mistake all along .He was angry and we were leaving and he kept telling us that he was keeping the room for 2 months(wrong room) and he was “screaming” ,he asked 50€ for the night which obviously was after a mistake and such behavior we were not going to pay that, we told him that its too much to pay for 4 hrs the onoy thing in the room was the luggage and not even a single piece of towel was used.He kept being rude and said “i dont want your money , leave from here “ and so we left! Never before have i experienced such a behavior from a person who initialy made a mistake and instead of trying to fix it he demanded compensation fot it !

So for me to return to same room in the same the pension 12 months later you know it must have been good. But is it a mistake to return so soon to a place you loved? In this case no. In fact the room was even better now with a new kitchen and a brand new fridge. There was good selection of glasses including proper wine glasses and small Ouzo glasses. Otherwise it was just as I had remembered and had looked forward to all year. Even the boat moored in the harbour that was the backdrop to so many of my 'meal on the balcony' photos was the same. And the welcome was even warmer. No Pension Galazios Kolpos sign needed this time as Ioanna greeting me at the harbour like a long lost relative. On my last day she even brought me a feta pie cooked by her mother. There is certain assurance you get when you arrive at a place and the wifi on your phone connects automatically because it remembers you have been there before. I dare say I will remember this place much longer than my iPhone. The Practical Things: Small private balcony with table and two chairs, sun umbrella and clothes line. Small kitchen with full sized (brand new) fridge and grill with hot points. Coffee maker and other appliances available. Plenty of good quality plates and glasses. Ask if you need more cutlery though there was a cork screw. Two single beds with mosquito netting (there was only the occasional one around in September). A couch and good sized wardrobe. Small TV but only local greek stations. Average sized bathroom and small shower. Wifi ok for Skype calls. Just a few minutes walk down to the harbour.

Perfect on a budget

A great little pension of 12 rooms right on the port, alongside all the bars and restaurants. The rooms are €20 a night, even with three people. An absolute bargain! This is a historic building with spacious rooms. All are en-suite with a small shower. They have a fridge, TV and air-con. The building has two lovely sun terraces, one overlooking the harbour activity. There are three rooms overlooking the harbour, one has a balcony. The other rooms overlook the terraces. The owner is Alexandra. She is lovely and very helpful. She allows you to use a small kitchen and the washing machine. In short it is perfectly located, well appointed and cheap as chips. Don’t expect the Hilton, expect charm!
