Great Budget Stay

Besides being located in a very central location, being close to markets, restaurants and taxi stands; the hotel staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. They helped us arrange a reasonable valued cab for Dzukou Valley trek and also offered keep some of our luggage to help reduce our weight. Breakfast is reasonable. Definitely recommend it. Booked via makemytrip.

Morung Lodge is a bed and breakfast homestay located in the heart of Kohima within walking distance to most places of interest around the city such as the WW2 cemetery - site of the Battle of Kohima, the local market, the state Museum and the Cathedral. Morung Lodge is ideally placed for day trips to nearby local villages and Kisama, where the Hornbill festival is celebrated each year in December. Morung Lodge has wifi, a living area and an adjoining terrace garden with a view where breakfast is served, which is complimentary for guests when staying at the homestay. Morung Lodge is also extremely convenient to use as a base. Guests often use the home stay, situated as it is near the bus/taxi station in Kohima, when in transit to and from other places in Nagaland. There is a laundry service available and information on places to visit locally and all around Nagaland. Tours and treks can be arranged with the owner and host.

Fantastic and memorable stay- good value for money
Reviewed By Nisha599Date of Stay: 13-14 February 2021 Wonderful experience. The staff were extremely hospitable and friendly. Their home cooked meals were simply delicious. We enjoyed trying our hand at cooking some local dishes in the kitchen! The rooms, including the bathrooms, were clean and well maintained. The village is quite picturesque. Highly recommend staying here.

Awesome Place....
Reviewed By AnkurM398One of the best areas in the town, most probably located at the outer Suburbs of the area. It was one of the most beautiful areas with a chain of shops and nice hotels. The food was delicious and healthy. Overall a nice place to eat.

Reviewed By hyacinthKannurLovely neat and clean room. Hot water geysers in bathrooms. Helpful owner and son. Efficient staff. The cook churns out excellent fare. Good especially if you want a break from the north eastern food. Do check rates for food though as they do not have a menu card. Very highly recommended.

Reviewed By Günter WWar sehr rudimentär. Zimmer primitiv. Aber Restaurant gut. Ab 20 Uhr wird alles hermetisch verriegelt (In Kohima ist es dann schon 4 Stunden dunkel!). Personal nett und zuvorkommend. Eingang im 4.Stockj von hinten (dort ist es dann ebenerdig)

Reviewed By andy_qualityThe hotel is the budget property of Naithu Group of Hotels & is located at upper Bayavu Hills. Rooms are modern & service is very good. The only drawback is the location which is a little off the main city, however for people going for vacation, it may just be the ideal place to stay. Food is delicious & serve a nice blend of traditional & modern food.
