Our chefs have been trained by a British Chef and they can cook a variety of European, South Asian and Asian dishes.

Amazing overall experience, family went the extra mile to make sure we had everything.

Stayed with Mr B and his family just for a short time but were welcomed to enjoy some local celebrations with them which was real lovely. Both walking and rafting safaris were great. We were even able to borrow some (slightly rickety) bicycles to explore the village. Food is also excellent and the family really went that extra mile to make us feel welcome!

Our dream of seeing a tiger finally came true

We are thankful to Racy Shade Resort for fulfilling our dream of seeing a tiger during our jungle safari. After just two hours, within 50 meters, we saw a tiger. We were mesmerized when it emerged from the bushes. It was massive. With its saffron colored and strong black stripes and moved with majestic grace. Our guide Mukti Ram Rijal led us safely behind it in silence and with respect for around twenty minutes. The team and hospitality of the resort was so good that we need to keep coming back. Once was not enough! Thank you to Kamal Bom, our trusted driver, who took us to this resort and took such good care of our family of multiple generations.

Absolutely amazing!

Reviewed By dipperchick

If you want an authentic experience, I highly recommend Bardia Kingfisher Resort. Jack, Pratap, and family are fantastic!! I ended up staying 2 extra days and sure am glad I did - saw a tiger on my original departure day!! So worth it. My inquiries were responded to very quickly. From the time I arrived at Nepalgunj airport to my departure, I was completely cared for and couldn’t ask for anything more. The jungle experiences (walking and jeep safari) and feeling like part of the family can’t be beat. My meals, prepared by Anju (Pratap’s wife) were incredible - I want cooking lessons next time. Accommodations are comfortable (not luxury) and very reasonably priced! And there’s no one I’d rather be with in the jungle than Jack. Thank you for an such an amazing experience - looking forward to my next visit!

Gorgeous experience

Staying at Bardia Eco Lodge made this experience memorable. The balcony view of the park is simply amazing! One day we are having lunch and a group of Elephants appeared just in front of the balcony. The room was very clean and had all conditions such as a fan, mosquito nets, toilet and shower and soap. It has a veranda outside where we ate breakfast with a beautiful view of its gardens that look like a jungle. From the veranda, we saw a wide range of birdlife. The location of the lodge is incomparable, as you have the park right on the other side of the road and the entrance to it in a 5 minutes walk. It is also very easy to go to the village to buy groceries. There were fresh drinks available and the meals were always prepared with local vegetables. The staff was all-time charming and attentive and the guides were very experienced. During jungle walks, they told us everything about safety during the experience, like what we should do in the case of every situation. They were also very good at spotting wildlife with made the experience even more interesting. We've done all jungle activities with Bardia Eco Lodge and loved them all. Rafting is incredible because is very peaceful and you get the feeling you are not disturbing the wildlife, almost as if you were invisible. During all activities, the guide carried a packed lunch and also fruits to eat during the stops for observing wildlife. The manager of the lodge, Madhu, is wonderful and we'll never forget how well he treated us.

Great hospitality!

Our trip to Bardiya National Park was planned just a day before going and had booked Tiger Tops- Karnali lodge for 2 nights. We were greeted with towels and welcome drinks which was quite refreshing after the travel. The Hotel employees were quite supportive and explained well about the property, the sustainability principles that it strived for and the activities that can be done during our stay. They took note of our meal preferences and also incorporated special requests (it was my friend's birthday and they arranged for a cake). They have implemented proper Covid-19 safety protocols like entertaining fewer groups at one time, placement of sanitizer, masks etc. at adequate places. Rooms- The rooms are built keeping in mind Nepalese architecture and is not the luxury room one might expect- but is quite comfortable and has a very good ambience. This gives us a true jungle lodge feel, they have placed sanitizer, odomos, toiletries and all amenities one might need during the stay. Meals- The best part about the stay was the food. It is freshly prepared, from local produce mostly and there is a mix of Continental and Nepalese food to satiate your taste buds. We loved the egg curry and their bread is yum. They also took note of our special request on food - appreciated Employees- The Hotel employees and the locals are very humble and extended great hospitality. They always took note of our requests and assisted us with a smiling face. They really are the heart of the property.

An unforgettable jungle experience

Reviewed By 949willh

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights, including a 1 day walking tour in the jungle, and it was an unforgettable stay. Let me start with the day in the jungle: Johnny, the wildlife obsessed expat from Yorkshire; and Deep, a fearless Nepali jungle guide; are not cut from the ordinary jungle cloth. Going on a tour with them is actually a challenge, to keep up! It felt like I was going out with two guys who would have been there anyway, rather than just mooching around a park with the vague hope of seeing game. No. We walked a total of 20km through some tough terrain, and our reward? Seeing a male elephant go about his business, momentarily being charged by 2 adult rhinos, and then witnessing an adult tiger from 5m away. All of this ON FOOT! It was pure adrenaline. Everybody else in the park who heard about our endeavours were understandably envious. Back at the lodge, Tina and her son Tolly were ready to hear all about our day over a dinner over the fire. It was close to a perfect day. Onto the lodge, and the facilities were very good indeed. Tina is a fantastic host
