Visit to Edward James Garden
Reviewed By Christopher JWe visited Posada James as we where recommend this hotel by Las Pozas. It’s about 5 minutes walk from the extraordinary garden and a 10 minute drive to Xilitla. On arrival the hotel staff where friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is quite rustic and basic but charming. Beautifully situated with amazing jungle views from breakfast terrace.

Reviewed By tomjacobsonA beautiful and charming hotel with large rooms, some in individual cabins. The dining area is open air facing the jungle. Location is terrific, very close to Las Pozas, the main attraction in Xilitla. Staff is friendly and the food is delicious. A real highlight of our visit to San Luis Potosí!

Llegas caminando a las pozas, cancha de tenis, jardines muy amplios para acampar, cabañas, áreas comunes. Wifi, tv en areas comunes con salas. Las áreas de cuartos es no fumar. Los encargados muy atentos y te brindan excelente sugerencias para recorridos.

What a lovely hotel, planted at the ende of the forest!
Reviewed By Arie DStayed two nights. Rooms are not fancy, but clean and adequate. Price is very reasonable. The location is slightly out of the village center, surrounded by beautiful tropical forest. Wake up to the symphony of all the jungle birds! It is a short walking distance from Las Pozas, so can this be more perfect? Breakfast was divine (huevous rancheros, my favorite).

Friendly family-owned operation, great location
Reviewed By Cecilia904The host was delightful, accommodating, and helped arrange a great driver to take us around for a day at a good rate and much more fun than a formal tourism shop. The rooms are clean, comfortable (with AC), and safe! The location was great - close enough to all the action but not so close that it's too loud, and right on the path to Las Pozas. Overall a really great experience!

Reviewed By Erick AExcelente atención por parte del personal, habitaciones muy cómodas y limpias. Las instalaciones se ven nuevas y tienen estacionamiento en la parte de frente al hotel. La alberca helada y el acceso un poco comolicado pero todo fue muy bueno.

Reviewed By RenycasThe place has an spectacular location (right in front of the main square) though the service is not very good. I’m not a picky traveler but there are some things that I disliked this time. Just one towel, no amenities AT ALL (just some tissue), no hand soap, none of the basics. Floor was wet and dirty when we arrived. They didn’t clean our room the first morning even thought they offer an hotel- like service so the floor remained all muddy and still wet until the next day. We had no hot water in the shower the second morning. The room is small but enough for two. A closet or shelf to hang the clothes is needed. I got the impression that there is a lack of interest from the owner/ manager into training his staff so they learn how to arrange the rooms and set the amenities for the incoming guests. The staff is kind but I understand that they are no able to solve all the issues at the Posada so more attention from the manager/ owner is needed. All my requests were solved until I texted the manager. And from that very point I can’t tell he was not helpful but only because I told him that he was offering things that he was not giving and that is not right. At the end he was nothing but helpful but first impressions matter the most. One thing I really liked besides the location is the small roof from which you get a wonderful view of the ‘Zocalo’. I can’t tell I recommend this place. Stay here at your own risk. I hope the can improve these important things in their service.

Lugar en medio de Xilitla
Reviewed By krn_ns3Es un lugar en medio del pueblo, por lo que representa que no hay estacionamiento. Pero, puedes ir caminando a algún restaurante o algún antro. Nos tocó despertar el domingo con el mercado, y almorzar a unas cuantas cuadras de allí. Los cuartos son muy cómodos y cuentan con los servicios básicos (tv, wi-fi, clima) y cuentan con baños nuevos y limpios. El dueño del hotel es una persona muy amable y atenta. Espero volver para quedarme aquí.

Reviewed By Nicola OEl personal de ese hotel se caracteriza por una escasa preparación. Por ejemplo, mi reserva no se había hecho correctamente. Otro detalle: al requerir factura, el precio magicamente subió lo que no solo es de mal gusto sino en contra de la ley. Ojalá pronto se hospede algún empleado del SAT para recordarles la normativa fiscal. No cuenta con restaurante ni servicio de desayuno. Cuartos OK con bonita vista. En resumen, existen mejores opciones.
