Friendly welcome was able to choose a room in the main house or the annexe. We chose the main house room 4. Parked at the front but there were plenty of parking spaces at the back. Lovely big room, bay window looking out onto the garden with the river to our right. Lovely comfortable bed, superb shower and big fluffy towels. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. Able to watch the local school put through their paces on the river. Had one evening meal which was well presented and tasted delicious. Within walking distance of Cathedral and Guildhall with its magnificent ceiling. Worth doing a walking tour, hearing and seeing things you would have never have seen. With Worcester walks. Green badge tour guide. Visit Friar Street with its wonderful old buildings all having a story to tell. See the pub that Charles II escaped from in New Street and try out the local Craddock ale. Also visited The Commandery again a story in time will you be a roundhead or a cavalier? Great Italian restaurant nearby and numerous old pubs. All in all we had a fabulous time and would certainly recommend the Diglis House Hotel. We will be back.

Bad customer service!

Reviewed By 691sunl

Hotel is in a great location and I found the room to be neat and tidy but has a smell of cigarettes which was very off putting. The reason for my 2 starts is the lady on the front desk. I have had two bad experiences with her. And each time it is down to her attitude! The 1st time she actually apologised so I did not write a review but on my second visit again her attitude was poor. I was told Appel pay did not work and I needed a card and at this point I unsure if I actually had my card as I use Appel pay which I know premier Inn except. When I told her I may not have a card she just said oh well you can’t say here then! With no empathy or signs of wanting to help. I said oh what if I don’t have my card? And her reply was simple “well you can’t stay here”. When I did find a card to pay on, I suggested they might want to state on the website that their Apple Pay is temperamental and you might want to bring a card with you incase. Which she replied yeah u can do it you want! It’s a shame as all other staff are fine but when you leave, the above this is what you remember about premier Inn and what you tell people when they ask how was your stay?

Ideal Location for a City Break

Iysha When booking a place to stay over the weekend I tried to steer clear of your generic hotel and book something with a little character. And I can honestly say Worcesters oldest pub did not disappoint on that front. Chocked full of character it offered a beautifully designed room with all the modern amenities needed for an enjoyable stay! Comfy bed included. We made dinner plans so I can’t comment on the food but I will say that the complimentary picnic basket filled with breakfast items was a lovely touch, plenty for the husband and I to enjoy. It was a pub on a Saturday night so as to be expected we could hear the patrons downstairs after returning from our evening out however this was honestly no issue for me. Reasonably priced, extremely friendly staff and an excellent location. What more could you ask for?! Kyle Location: 10/10 - Plenty of restaurants, pubs and attractions right on your doorstep. Across from large multi-story car park where you can get a 20% discount with your stay. Room: 7/10 - Has everything you need although felt a little cramped. Was able to hear chatter outside until late but that comes with staying at a busy pub I guess. May be an issue you're a light sleeper. Staff: 9/10 - Very friendly and accommodating. Drop off a breakfast hamper in the morning. Nice touch

Wedding at the Pear Tree

Had our wedding at the Pear Tree yesterday, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Donna was so lovely and helpful when it came to organising the day, taking so much of the stress and hassle away from us. The day itself flowed brilliantly, the food was absolutely exquisite, the Bartlett Suite was beautifully laid out and decorated and the hotel rooms were very nice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Every single one of our guests have told us how much of a fantastic and fun day it was, and that the venue has played a huge part in that. We would definitely recommend the Pear Tree to anyone who is thinking of holding a wedding or other event there.

Short break

Reviewed By Roy581

We stayed here for a couple of nights in mid week and it provided all that we needed. A good size room with a good shower located close to the town center and attractions. It is a converted old glove factory and some of its fixtures and fitting are a little tired. The English breakfast was very good and sets you up for the day.
