However the negative point is at night there was no electricity (no AC) causing sweating and mosquitoes started bitting when the door was kept a bit open. Hot water was not available due to solar power issues, so later on separate arrangement was made....Rooms are clean and well maintained

"Klub Khavana" takes off from the name Khavane, which is a village in Vengurla town. The beach is secluded and largely undisturbed - becomes a perfect getaway for a nice & quiet (& romantic) vacation. This cosy place with two luxurious cottages is on your own private beach!! "For whatever we lose (like a you or a me) it's always ourselves we find in the sea!" What if the beach is aptly complimented with beautiful backwaters?? Khavane backwaters run almost 1 Km inside the land and is a stone's throw away from Klub Khavana. Klub Khavana has now opened up two luxurious wooden cottages - with a promise to expand by yearend. The two cottages are equipped with ACs, TVs with set top boxes, and a master bed. This unique experience of luxury amongst the rustic fishermen's colony will amaze you and want to come back for more!!! Activities that we provide are - • Walk through the local fishermen colony. • Khavane backwaters • Paddle boating/ Kayaking • Fishing trip with the local fishermen. • Line fishing. • Frying fish on the boat • Barbeque your catch • Beach volleyball • Visit to local temples • 1 day trip - North Sindhudurg • 1 day trip - South Sindhudurg • 1/2 day boat trip to Vengurla Rocks (Light house) • Dolphin/Peacock sighting trips

Reviewed By Dion FBooked this place for 3050 per night on MMT. A huge mistake it's not even worth 500 a night. It's not located at vengurla but at khavane 9 odd kms away, a lonely winding road. We arrived yesterday at 3.30pm. En route we tried calling a listed number, which turned out to be wrong. we managed to connect a bit later, only to be told that the kitchen was closed. No mention that there are no shops or other restaurants in the area. We reached hungry, thirsty. There was no drinking water provided, nor glasses in the room. We were promised a snack when the cook returned at 5pm, but received oily spicy bajis at 6.15 without ketchup as it was unavailable. The dinner was tasty.. however the bill was shocking: 450/- a kingfish thali and 350/- for prawns thali. When you are at this hotel's mercy you just have to pay up and shut up. The complementary breakfast we got were two miserly rice chapati with green chutney ey and bitter black tea. No options, take it or leave it. no bedsheets where provided. The TV didn't work. There's no connectivity except for Jio. No intercom, so you'd have to walk to the reception each time to beg for anything. You have to park your car more than 300 meters away and descend by foot on a steep slope, so the climb back to your vehicle is tough...very risky for aged and heart patients. Worst of all is the indifferent attitude of the owner whom we spoke to on the phone and his staff. Give this highly overpriced place a miss. The beach isn't as clean as it looks on the pics posted by the hotel. There are people who take a dump on the rocks. It's strewn with bottles, flotsam and the sea doesn't look too safe for a swim. God forbid something should happen, you will not get help in time.

Reviewed By RatichavanThe location of the hotel is perfect,, such a wide stretch of beach to view from the top is mesmerising,, lovely cottages with so much of greenery, even during covid times the property and the garden is well maintained, The owner himself is so upgraded and futuristic that each and every item he has placed tactfully , highly recommended to anyone,, one must visit this place atleast once in a lifetime,, one can personally chk with the owner himself to take u for his huge acres mango farm and do not forget to do boating in the middle of the sea,, everything organised under one roof !!! I have purposely not shared any pics so that one can see it personally with their own eyes and get mesmerised!!!

Reviewed By RadssharmaWe stayed with family at Mermaid Beach resort. The resort has a very ethnic feel to it so please don't compare to the newer places or hotels. This is midway between a homestay and a hotel. The resort is close to the beach, so close that you can look at the Arabian Sea while eating ! You can walk within 2 minutes to the beach. There is hardly any crowd given this time of the year- October. Location wise this is the best place. The staff are very homely and family like. The hotel has been taken over by new management who take active interest in guests needs and food preferences. They entertain and arrange for sight seeing activities and cook what you want to eat. For our family they arranged beach visits, light house trips and water sports in Malvan. The rooms have AC and fans. Toilets were clean. A family of 4 can stay in a room with an extra mattress. My family and I loved the stay. We will come again !

A pleasant experience at the beachside amid coconut trees, the sound of waves crushing against the shore and the distant sun descends like it is sinking into the water. Sitting hours together watching the waves and a perfect place for beach goers to spring as their feet hit the blistering white sand. Nature at its best surrounded by coconut and mango plantation, listening to the singing birds and being part of a village lifestyle away from busy urban life.
