Extremly noisy - clean and large room - fish dinner / breakfast inacceptable
Reviewed By 994suzannesThe room is very large with nice lake view. Unfortunately people outside had parties till 5 AM.. so quite noisy. The included Dinner (Fish) was terrible. The tortellini not cooked, cold and the fish itself not a great dish. We traveled with smartbox, I would not recommend the dinner.

Reviewed By StanJo175In summary, my second stay here was great. The family who run the hotel are very friendly, speak English and are very kind and generous. They will go the extra mile to help with any requests. In these times I think it is important to include the Covid measures in the reviews. The staff wear masks. The floor is marked with social distancing reminders. There are plenty of hand sanitizer dispensers around. Guests (many of a senior age) wear masks whilst in the communal areas. We were told to keep our room key with us throughout the stay. Breakfast is still a buffet but gloves and hand sanitizer are provided. Tables are distanced. Lunch and dinner are table service with staff wearing masks. At no time did I feel unsafe. For me the selling points for this hotel are: - Staff. Cleanliness. Passion for local culture and history. Great value and delicious set lunch and dinner. Good breakfast selection including local honey, nuts & cheese etc. Comfortable room with a/c, hot or cold shower with good pressure. Easy to find with free parking. Convenient for train and bus. Walking distance to some local attractions. Recommend rooms at rear on higher floors for great views of mountains. We were in 316 which had a large balcony.

Reviewed By Alireza FIt was a very disappointing experience. It started at the check-in. They charged me and my son for an obligatory fee of joining the hotel club. When I asked what it is, they said it includes the bus service, animation (Cartoon movie for the kids) and later entertainment at night. I said, I do not want to use these services. But they said it is obligatory and you have to pay. I said it was not mentioned when I booked the room via the "Hotels.com". They said it is mentioned in "Expedia". I said it has nothing to do with me as I booked my room through Hotels.com. But They insisted I did my booking through Expedia. The receptionist who I dealt with in this case had a name badge of "Aneta". Whatever, I said still I was in their hands and I did not wanted to destroy my holidays with my son I just gave in and paid. On the first morning, every single breakfast table was reserved for the guests that belong to a group. My son and myself had to wonder around to find a table dirty and sit there till they come and clean it for us. It looked like being paid for a service and handled as second class citizens. I usually have fried egg for the breakfast, I saw the first two days many other guests were asking for it, but I thought with the way that they are treating us it is better not to ask as I become again disappointed. Nevertheless I asked the headwaiter the last day, the answer (as I expected) was you have to pay 5 Euro extra! I thought leave it. One of the reason I took this hotel was because of having a swimming pool. But again I had to pay extra to use the pool. I did not used it. There was no tea or coffee making facility in the room. Even for small water bottles that in every hotel is complimentary, I had to pay. It was super noisy and you were able to hear everything happening in the corridors and other rooms. I rate this hotel one or maximum two stars. It was horrible service! I tried to mention their shortcomings to them but the answer was confrontation and very disappointing. Avoid it if you can.

Reviewed By bel474I stay in this hostel in march. I love the amazing view from the room and the breakfast, probably my best hostel breakfast with a lot of fresh cakes and also friuts. Lovere it's a very beautiful village on the Lake Iseo

Reviewed By lehnen66The restaurant is not organized, the Food is really Basic. The waiter recommended a salad Nicoise as a vegetarian dish (full of tuna and sardegnas) , the chicken was without any flavor, the tagliatta without salt or any sauce. Only the white wine from Lugano deserved a star.

Reviewed By th0mas1960Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by Carla - the owner. Immediately we felt, there is something different. It feels like coming home. The dinner that we were then offered and for the next 9 days - (for a team of 15 people, incl. vegetarians) was prepared with so much love and thoughtfulness. Mushrooms that were handpicked, all content from the garden, or the forest. Absolutely amazing! And so tasty!! After a hard day of work in the mountains we enjoyed the spa - done with so much thought as well. For people who love the mountains and the nature and mindfulness - a must! Definitely a recommendation. Thank you Carla - to you and your husband!

Beautiful area, took lots of quiet walks to explore. Room was very basic but comfortable and clean. Couldn't ask for more!

Wonderful Position
Reviewed By PeterR746For exploring Lake Iseo and the Camonica Valley we strongly recommend Hotel Capovilla. The hotel is close to the centre of the old town and within easy walking distance from the railway station. We had a large bedroom that overlooked the lake and we enjoyed watching the many moods of the lake and surrounding mountains. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant and the food was 1st class. We were very impressed with the prompt and willing help we were given in retrieving a shoulder bag that had been accidentally left on the train.
