The Perfect Stay
Reviewed By geema10My 17 year old son and I have just come back from a 4 night stay at the Hotel Bristol. After researching hotels and areas to stay we chose the Hotel Bristol based on reviews and we were not disappointed! The hotel is in a great location just 15 minutes drive from Pisa airport. We chose a superior room which is in a separate block near the swimming pool. The room was perfect, very spacious and with plenty of wardrobe space, drawers, a large bathroom with walk-in shower, complimentary toiletries, complimentary slippers, a safe and a fridge with 2 bottles of water in (which we really appreciated coming straight from the airport!) The wifi in the room was also really fast and reliable (there is also separate wifi around the pool which was also good) I took my own teabags and coffee and asked Enrico if he could supply a kettle. He immediately came back with one and 2 mugs. He also told us there was a supermarket nearby and we could put food in the fridge which was very convenient. The room was spotlessly clean and each day when we returned had been cleaned to a very high standard with fresh towels each day. We loved the pool area. It was generally very quiet as most people were out sightseeing. We would spend an hour or 2 round the pool at the end of each day but it was never crowded and although there is only 12 sunbeds there were always some free. There was also an honesty bar near the pool which looked well stocked although we didn't actually use this. The pool was nice to swim in, big enough to do lengths and also had a jacuzzi section next to it. Next to the pool there is a tennis court and also free bike hire although again we didn't use these. Breakfasts were fantastic! So much choice! Fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, cakes, nuts, biscuits, cakes, fruit juice. yoghurts, hot drinks, various teabag flavours, a toaster for toasting bread, ham and cheese. We really ate like kings each morning and Enrico and his team were always on hand to see if you wanted a hot drink or were buzzing about cleaning things up or restocking the breakfast area. We found the location perfect for sightseeing. We caught the no 10 bus to Pisa the first day (bought tickets from the tabacconist shop round the corner which Enrico told us about) The bus stop is a short walk away and it's a 25 min trip. The 2nd day we asked to book a taxi to the train station in Pisa and Enrico called the firm he uses so we wouldn't be overcharged on the fare. The driver was lovely, very friendly and the car was immaculate. He also told us to text him the time we would be back at Pisa train station and he would come and collect us (which he did, he was there waving when we emerged from the train station) That day we caught the train to Florence (about an hours journey) The last day we again caught the bus to the train station in Pisa and caught the train to Lucca. Again another fabulous day out! The location of the hotel itself in Tirrenia is perfect. It is a lovely quiet resort on the beach and feels very Italian. We found plenty of restaurants in the town to eat at and everyone was very welcoming. On our last day Enrico had again booked a driver to take us to the airport and we were extremely sad to leave. I would not hesitate to stay again at Hotel Bristol. Enrico is such a natural hotelier, he is born to do it! He is on hand constantly, genuinely cares about his guests and cares that they have a good stay. As a woman travelling with her son I felt very safe and felt that if we'd have experience any problems he would have been there to assist us. Thanks Enrico and your team for a wonderful holiday and I hope one day to visit again!

Reviewed By jsmit651The worst experience ever. This hotel has amazing pictures on their website, to convince you to book with them. When you arrive you will see that this hotel is not what it is. I dont needs words to show how they are, just look at the pictures. Never compensated, no excuses nothing ! i even e-mailed their headoffice, no reply.. Well done a hotel that calls itself Grand Hotel Continental..

The 18-hole golf course 'Cosmopolitan' and the golf course of Tirrenia are about 3,5 km away. 116 bright and appealing rooms in a modern style for up to four guests (depends on the room category).

Reviewed By jansU8308HEWhat a misrepresentation it is to give this hotel five stars. From the time we arrived at this hotel we were beyond disappointed. On arrival there was no one to help you with your luggage and only one person on reception. We were informed that to park our car would cost €18.00 per day, a sun bed on the beach was €25.00 per day and a towel, yes towel was €6.00 or a day. The room was very small stark and minimalistic, only one bedside table and two drawers in the wardrobe. The bathroom however was lovely and very well equipped. The pool area was pleasant but there was no bar or bar service. We went in to get our own drink (again only one member of staff) and was served it in a disposable plastic beaker. The same drink cups where still when we went for dinner two hours later! To walk to the beach you have to walk through a series of wooden sheds, the beach bar, to get to the beds. Again no drink service here either. Dinner was the final straw for us. Only a quarter of the tables were laid in a very minimal way. There were two members of staff working and when asked for a wine list we were told they didn’t have one, they had asked the office for a new one but it hadn’t arrived yet, so proceeded to tell us what was available. The icing on the cake was when I asked for some salt and pepper. I was shown a shelf and told I would find everything I could want was there. It consisted of sachets of salt, pepper, tomato sauce, mayonnaise etc. How this Hotel has been given five stars is beyond us. We left the hotel first thing the following morning having found another hotel ourselves.

Reviewed By Csicsmán SThe real advance of this hotel is the people working there. Really the staff the waiters are helpful and kind. The rooms are old-fashioned from the 70s but clean and spacious. Food is good but there is a terrible problem. In the restaurant there is no working air conditioning system. The restaurant is like the hell. It is terrible to have meals in 40 Celsius. I felt so sorry for the waiters who have to work in such circumstances

English hating staff - beware!

Didn’t have any major complaints about the hotel in general, it’s pretty grotty, more like a hostel than a hotel. Paint stripping off the walls, 2 single beds pushed together to make a weird double, no proper windows...standard crappy European hotel. Anyway, back to the English thing. I left a review on the hotel on booking.com just saying the hotel was pretty grotty which is fair and I got the most horrendous response!! I’ve attached a picture of the reply...wow!! Beware if your an English family like us staying there, we felt very unsafe around such British hating staff and owners.

Tirrenia is still well served by bus to the center of Pisa is the center of Livorno, which are equidistant (15 minutes by car or 30 minutes by bus).What better place then for your holidays in Tuscany?

Reviewed By Naama AWe got into the room, there was a terrible smell of sigarets! The room was closed for a long time. The room was so dirty and not clean!! Dust everywhere!! The bed seems like someone has already slept in it... And on top of everything the owner was too stingy for turning on the gas heat and we had to raise our voice for the third time we had ask him too, cause it's 12 c/d outside and we paid 74€ for this miserable room ???

All that was really missing like a lot of places in Tenerife is air-conditioning. Establishment (6) - Pleasant enough and for 3-star rating I can’t be too critical. However, it does reinforce the need to go 4-star or above if affordable. Really dark corridors to apartments. Not much happening at resort. Food Selection (5) - Probably okay for 3-star but for me the choice was really poor except for the little desserts. Most of time food was cold and for me I felt the breakfast food was all a little bit too undercooked for me. I don’t know where they get their bacon from but that ain’t bacon that is just strips of greasy undercooked fat. Alcohol Selection on All Inclusive (3) - Absolutely terrible but for most that like to just get drunk without caring what they are drinking I’m sure they won’t complain much. However, as I don’t like to get steaming on holiday and prefer a couple of nice drink then I or my partner could not drink any of the alcohol on the all inclusive deal. Pool side (7) - although pool was too small for the amount of people they’re was ample bedding and a great padded bedding area that was so comfy and good to relax. There was also an adult only roof terrace but it was basically some plastic sun-beds left on the roof with a parasol. Extra (10) - Winner hands down!!!! Unlimited access to Siam Park through duration of stay, ya wee belter, Friggin awesome and made the holiday. Location. (7) - Quiet just at top of Playa Las Americas and easy walking distance to Shops. It was next to Los Cristianos Football Stadium. For those that like it loud it’s not for you and for those that like to be just a little out the way but not too far then it’s perfect.

Very Relaxing
Reviewed By Luca CIt was a short stay ... only 2 days but we had lots of fun. The staff was nice and there was a really big car park. The Wi-Fi was fantastic and very fast. The nearby beaches were nice but a little expensive.
