They also makes transport arrangements on requests to help us visit all locations near tarkarli. Authentic Malvani food is available.

Reviewed By Reba1952First of all this this not a resort .........its just 8 wood built rooms on a narrow strip of land ;the narrow end faces the sea. The only other buildings are the dining room and kitchen The rooms are spacious , well appointed and in good taste. Every thing works: air conditioning, uninterrupted power, wifi, clean bathrooms and linen. Staff are pleasant and attentive . The buffet breakfast is a cheap rip off. They don't aim to please the customer but to save a buck. With toast they serve Amul Nutralite instead of butter...ugh. Everyday its the same egg burgia , poha / upma/ idli. The kokam juice is kokam squash. We bought a pat of Amul butter and got it served for us. The thali at our first lunch was a meagre serving : one tiny pomfret about 3" width . half a mackeral in a gravy , rice , roti and sliced onions ........Rs 400! We decided not to eat there again. Asking around for options , we were advised by the fishermen that homes good for tourist and that food is good.. Sure enough we found Babla Home stay right behing Funtastico where the charming housewife Reshma gave us Malwan cuisine. She'll even cook for you if you buy the fish. Even better is Ganesh home stay whose signage you'll find close to Babla where Baban and his wife gave us wonderful meals at reasonable prices. However the beach did not disappoint...............its clean , no plastic and unfrequented by tourist mobs. We took sea dips twice a day . Sindudurg fort which you can spy from Tarkarli beach is best viewed from outside as the walls are stillll standing and impressive but inside is just a wasteland of scrub . The ferries going over are over crowded and probably not safe if you cant swim

To begin with the water in the shower remains hot only for some time and then turns cold - so the person has to close / open the shower constantly. Bar was open but no ice available- bartender was on leave so no cocktails Room design is improper - there is no mirror - so u need to visit the washroom everytime u want to check out Not worth at all for the money charged

Property is properly maintained with ample parking space. Beach is right across the road. Food is served if ordered in time. Breakfast is good.

Hotel is easily locatable. check in was smooth, Room size was okay but lacking with basic facilities. Brocken and leaking bidet shower, spot on bed spread as well as on pillow cover. Loose tap of basin, corroded faucets and shower. Water coming from tap was salty but we all know that it's a common thing at sea shore. TV was pretty small and needed to be checked once. The hotel has its own entrance to the beach, which is an advantage. The only best thing about this hotel was dinner. Local delicacies served hot was wonderful. My experience was of mixed type. I would rather select another place next time to stay which are actually ample in devbaug.

Reviewed By Hemant DIt's a newly constructed and nicely maintained.. What makes it better is homely stay and homely cooked food. However we had unlucky day as electricity was cut off by local MSEB. ( yes inverter did work but we can't run AC) It's closer to tarkarli Beach.. As I mentioned earlier its homely stay so don't expect hotel kind of treatment however owner is helpful and rooms are clean and nice for family stay.

Before making a decision please once visit our hotel and check the service we provide.

Good location but lacks service
Reviewed By sachin_balegholApart from location, other aspects were disappointing and will hold us from visiting the property again. Location/property: - This is a small property right on the beach as advertised and is really the USP for this. It has 5 individual cottages facing the beach and there is a small play area in front. - But if you roam around, you will realize that there are many such properties along the shoreline. - You can go to the beach and come back for a shower/tap provided in the premises before entering the room. There are some benches and hammocks as well. - So its good for leisure and if you are looking for nothing beyond this, you are good to go. Now comes the tricky part. Since its small property, the service is very poor. These are small things but looking at the price tag, I would expect much better service and experience. Phone/WiFi: - The in-room phones have been removed citing COVID reasons(I dont get why its so difficult to sanitize the phones). - So you have to rely on the property WiFi to make whatsapp calls/VoWiFi calls even for asking anything or walk upto their office at back. - During our stay, WiFi was not working on one night due to rains. So it was very tricky. - The DTH recharge expired on the 2nd night. Even after reminding for same, no action was taken. Dining: - The complimentary breakfast is 2 dishes per room which is a fixed item per day. - On first day, it was 'Pohe' and 2nd day 'Ghavan'. Both were good. Anything extra is chargeable. - There is no restaurant/dining area and the so called private dining space for cottage is a table/chair setup in front in the sand. - Its really bad experience for dinner though since the space has lot of mosquitoes due to the shoreline. There was no repellent stick or other measure taken for mosquitos in the outside area. (You are advised to close the door even in day time for same) - We ordered thali for dinner and the quantity was pretty less. It was not worth in our opinion. Also, nobody came in to check for any further requests/orders. - The sweet dish was literally just a spoon or two of Shrikhand. Also the Bangda fish size was very very small(though it was fresh, as claimed), and even Surmai piece was literally paper-thin slice(was not so fresh) Room/Toiletries: - Only 2 500ml water bottles were provided on checkin, that too upon asking for same. - The extra blanket provided is much smaller in size. It was smaller than the shawl we had. - The paper cups are very thin and tricky for Tea/Coffee - After cleaning done on 2nd day, the tea-coffee supplies were not replenished and had to ask specifically. - There is no handwash(soap pump) provided near the wash basin. Upon enquiring, we were told that there is only single soap provided and no shower gel is there. - The shower pipe was leaking and even after reporting and being checked by the staff, no attempt was made at least to acknowledge it. (In some other property, I am sure we would have got shifted to different room as 3 other cottages were empty) - The placement of toilet paper is wrong. It gets completely wet after taking a shower. So in case u have to use it after someone takes a shower, you have to first get rid of the big paper pulp! Its gross for someone who is hygiene conscious. Service: - The housekeeping is not done automatically during your stay, due to COVID reasons. You will have to ask for it. - There is a pet dog roaming around the property who was set free in the night too. It seems to be domesticated, but kids were horrified when they saw it sitting just outside the door most of the times. - Having a dog beside you, staring at you while you are dining - it could be a cool thing for someone but at least I didnt signup for same. - The overall service attitude is disappointing. What it lacked is the hospitality and warmth from property owner. Its fine to ask if you are coming for lunch on checkin day, but asking about detailed whereabouts and bluntly asking to have lunch outside since we would be late, was unprofessional in my view. - We requested for late checkout(by 11AM, which was agreed after some persistence). But again at ~10:10 my wife was questioned why me and the kids have gone to beach again. Without knowing all this, I had planned for the same and could checkout at 10:45AM itself. The cleaning staff was just sitting outside the room from 10:30AM itself, making us uncomfortable. - Even I was forced to clear the pending room charges(50% advance was provided) at around 10AM itself(multiple reminders) since the owner was about to go out. I understand they wanted the confirmation beforehand since its UPI payment, but I have never ever seen such pestering behavior at any other property(even during much late checkout).
