Quirky and convenient accommodation

The hotel is a rabbit warren of bedrooms above a brasserie in the centre of Stirling (but on a quiet street) The young staff are friendly and helpful and the bedin the large room was comfortable, but hot water in the shower would definitely have been nice. Food and drink are good and the hotel is within easy walking distance of bus and railway stations.

Outdated but friendly staff

Reviewed By skiesoflemon11

The hotel is very outdated and in urgent need of refurbishment. The carpet in our room was worn and the furniture sparse abs marked. On one day the shower had no hot water at all, on the next the water was boiling hot with no cold. The restaurant food was also poor quality. However the room was very clean and the restaurant and bar staff in particular were all lovely. I wouldn’t come back again unless the hotel gets a facelift.

Nothing boutique about it

Pretty average and therefore overpriced hotel. The king deluxe room is nothing special and we looked out onto a car park. Room was clean enough but there was doors banging below which made the whole building shake. Pretentious boutique hotel and we certainly won't be back.

Wonderful 17th Century inn located in a picturesque village about 10 miles outside Stirling. We had a very warm welcome on arrival, room was cozy, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We requested haggis in place of black pudding and were accommodated without issue as it should be in Scotland ? Location is ideal for visiting Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs are within easy striking distance, as are the Grampians. Great value for money and we will definitely return, hopefully soon.
