Make sure you dont forget Porchetta night on Tuesdays!!! Only a 10 min. ride to the beach! We preferd to sun at Itaca beach, quite and a very qood restaurant! The Ftittura is one of the best in the world! Make sure you make a reservation for lunch, always fully booked! Have fun!

Great stopping off place (if a little chaotic!)
Reviewed By Simon CWe booked the hotel blind, based on reviews online, wanting somewhere easy to get to arriving from a late flight to Pescara. It was further from the airport than we thought (30 mins), but easy to find & lots of parking. No-one spoke much English, but although we were late and initially said the kitchen was closed, they managed to rustle up an excellent fish salad (described as a slightly less appetising "cold fish sandwich"!) and some drinks. The bedroom was on the third floor, but was clean, tidy and reasonably well equipped. We slept well. We went down to breakfast, and this was completely chaotic! No English speakers. The orange juice machine was not working, and the only food was in packets (jams/biscuits/cereal). We were about to give it a miss, but spotted a couple of croissants that were fine... plus a super jam tart! The one member of staff there also made some great coffees, so we stayed for breakfast. Checking out was also a bit mad, as we didn't pay for the room (had paid Expedia on line), but were expecting the pay room tax, and not sure about the breakfast. We had paid for the food the night before, and the suggestion was we would need to pay for the room (but I checked the booking and knew that wasn't right). Anyway - we would definitely recommend, and super value for money - just be prepared for anything!

Reviewed By Michael HWe had a suite with sea view, rooms was very large 2-bathrooms, pull-out couch/bed if needed. Rooms were very clean. But do not consider this as a typical hotel. Operates as a “club med” style property with the Mumbo Jumbo squad managing all kinds of dancing, music, games for kids. We were two couples, hoping just to relax on the beach, but this was not possible with the blaring digital disco music. We also did not opt for the full breakfast/lunch/dinner package — thankfully not. It is large buffet style — again, maybe OK for families with kids, but not if you really wanted quality seafood. We found nearby restraint that was amazing called “Paradise” ate there three times.

Good aparthotel
Reviewed By Petra CWe stayed there for a week in July. Overall, it was not bad but nothing exceptional. The accommodation is sufficient for an aparthotel and the price is reasonable. It is quite new and modern, with a lovely garden and close to the beach, but there are still improvements to be made. Only a few staff members can speak English and you have to be patient if asking for something, you have to visit the reception repeatedly to remind them of your requests (at least in the high season, maybe it would be better in the low season when there are not that many guests accommodated). For example, we had to ask for bed linen or for the hairdryer twice or three times ... although the hairdryers were advertised to be available in the rooms, the one of the English-speaking receptionists was not even aware that they had any hairdryers at all (although luckily they had them for hire for free at the reception), but he advised to ask the following day and we got one without any troubles after asking for the third time :-). However, you have to take into account that it is not an AI 5* hotel but just the aparthotel, so it was not that big issue. The only big issue was the window in the bathroom which was broken and could not be opened which was quite frustrating in the hot summer weather. We asked if someone could repair it, but no-one was able to repair it during the whole week. We travelled as 2 pairs and booked 2 "mono" studios. As we found these "mono" studios too small, especially its balcony (which was a half size of a standard one in the "bilo" studios - 2 mono rooms are actually sharing 1 balcony, divided by the glass wall), we asked for the upgrade to the "bilo" studio, but it was not possible, as the hotel was fully booked. Anyway, overall, we enjoyed our stay in this location, as Abruzzo is very nice. The local beaches are nice and clean (although a bit average and crowded, contrary to the romantic beaches on the Greek islands), but we liked especially the local old towns and villages as well as the nature (e.g. Campo Imperatore is really impressive). As for the local restaurants in Silvi Marina, we would recommend "Il Bucaniere" (in the center of Silvi Marina) and "Lolita" (close to the hotel ... it looks quite average, but their sea food pizza is fantastic, the best one I have eaten so far).

Basic Hotel
Reviewed By Pebbles60Stayed here for 1 night, rooms were tired and basic as was the rest of the hotel, if you wanted a drink from the bar you needed to buy coloured plastic beads from reception each colour representing a value (not sure why you couldn't just use currency though). There are 2 large pools neither were busy and you could easily get a sunbed, the redeeming feature was the private area on the beach with free beds and parasols (although I believe they charge for this during the month of August), The hotel did not supply beach towels and there were no local shops to purchase one fortunately there were plenty of sellers on the beach and we managed to buy one.
